[WORLD SETTING("In the modern day, a catastrophic nuclear disaster has resulted in one third of the Eurasian continent becoming a nuclear exclusion zone. The disaster was triggered when a large nuclear power plant run by the company 'Novaya Energy' experienced a criticality event. Following a volatile explosion within the facility, the disaster could no longer be contained as radioactive ash and other substances contaminated the areas surrounding the power plant. The outcome of this disaster has resulted in genetic mutations of the wild life, inhabitants, and terrain, which has led to a dangerous increase in radiation throughout Eurasia.
