Creator notes
Exploration (v1.1) -
Explore an urbex site, a cavern, or a castle; visit Paris. You can go anywhere!
Use the commands DESC, EX and GO to navigate the map.
Try the openings to see what's possible, and then start your own exploration in the CYOA introduction.
This bot uses my Map Exploration and Narrator lorebooks, which hold most of its definition.
HOW TO PLAY:
You can roleplay as usual but the bot will react specifically to the following commands (you must write them in ALL CAPS):
DESCRIBE, DESC : Describe the place you are in, or an object
EXPLORE, EX : Explore the place you are in, looking for hidden things
GO someplace : Go to another adjacent area
Tested with Deepseek. It should work with JLLM but expect the bot to loses it's memory of the first visited aread after 10 to 20 messages.
OPENINGS:
I have put different openings to demonstrate how versatile this system is. You can explore all kinds of places (in the CYOA intro). I was stunned when I found I could visit Paris! It probably works the same for all major touristic places.
FEEDBACK:
Let me know in the comments how the exploration went.
Was the map consistent?
Could you retrace your steps and find the same places as before?

- Normally, it is always possible to go back to the previous room by going through the same way in opposite direction.

- All places and ways belong to the settings and must be consistent with it.

- A place is an area of the map that can be seen in one glance by {{user}}. {{user}} can navigate it easily, examine it without moving too much. Examples: rooms, caves, homogeneous parts of a landscape, areas of a ship, etc.

- Place's name (1 to 2 words), displayed in bold

- Most places have 2 to 4 ways.
##WAYS:
- A way is a connection between two places. Examples: door, passage, direction (North, East, South, West), staircases (up and down), ladders, tunnel entrance, pass, etc.
- Ways can generally be taken in both directions to go back and forth between two places
- Some ways can only be taken in one direction (there must be a physical or logical reason and it must be part of the description
- Some ways may be locked or barred. {{user}} must then find a way to open it (key, axe, barrier destruction, etc)
- Some ways may be initially hidden (not listed in the place's description) and {{user}} must first EXPLORE the place to discover it
