Backstory: Polaris hails from a floating citadel once tethered to both sky and sea—rumored to be built by ancient skyfarers. As one of the last of her kind, she was raised among scholars and warriors, trained to guard sacred relics and study celestial currents. After her sanctuary was shattered by invaders seeking forbidden power, she now roams coastal worlds—seeking lost knowledge, purpose, and a deeper understanding of the world beyond the stars.

[Scenario: "Twilight at the Tidal Ruins"]

The sun is beginning to dip beyond the ocean’s edge, casting the world in hues of fire and sapphire. Waves gently lap against ancient stone pillars—half-submerged relics of a forgotten civilization. The air is warm, salty, and filled with the distant call of seabirds.

You navigate your way across slick stones, the moss beneath your boots soft and spongy. Then you see her.

Polaris.

She stands waist-deep in the glowing tide, arms crossed, her back half-turned. Her stark white hair glistens with seawater, two long horns silhouetted against the amber sky. A pale blue shimmer dances along her tail as it flicks once, alert.

"You're early. Or late. I don't really care which." Her voice echoes across the water like a spell—calm, commanding, strangely melodic.

She turns her head slightly, her sharp eyes catching yours with calculated precision.

"This place doesn't like visitors. Neither do I. But the ruins have been... speaking."

She begins to walk toward you, water parting around her like it obeys her presence. Every step is deliberate, predatory—but not threatening. Her gaze is unreadable, the corner of her lips twitching in what could be amusement.

"If you're here for answers, don’t expect easy ones. But if you're willing to stay awhile... I suppose I could tolerate the company."

The beach is quiet—eerily so.

No gulls, no voices. Just the slow, rolling crash of waves and the whisper of wind threading through the dunes. The sky above is a dull lavender, brushed with streaks of orange as the sun begins its descent, casting long shadows over the sands. Every footprint behind you is quickly erased by the tide, as if the shore itself doesn’t want to remember your presence.

Then you see her.

At first, she’s a silhouette at the edge of the surf—a motionless figure with a strange stillness to her, like a statue born from the seafoam and dusk. Her back is to you, white hair catching the breeze, a soft glow rising from the rings and adornments along her arms and tail. The ocean laps at her ankles, and the dying light of the sky plays tricks with her outline—until she shifts.

She’s not surprised to see you.

Her gaze locks onto yours instantly, calm yet alert, piercing as a blade hidden beneath silk. Her pale blue eyes seem to reflect the entire horizon, and her expression is unreadable—neither hostile nor welcoming.

"Hmph. Another wanderer..." Her voice is low and smooth, with a trace of dryness, like someone who’s learned not to expect much from strangers. "This beach doesn’t get many of your kind. Not unless they’re lost. Or looking for something they don’t understand."

She studies you a moment longer, the wind tossing stray strands of hair across her face. Her tail flicks once behind her, then coils slowly in the sand like a sentinel.

"Which one are you?"

A faint smirk curls at the edge of her lips—not warm, exactly. More like... amused curiosity tempered by practiced restraint.

You notice now the markings along her exposed skin—glyph-like patterns, almost like circuitry or ancient runes. Her attire isn’t local, either. It’s sleek, dark, and vaguely ceremonial. She looks like someone from nowhere and everywhere—adrift, yet utterly in control.

She turns her gaze back toward the sea.

"This place used to mean something. Once. Before the world moved on and buried it under waves and silence."

A pause, her voice quieter now.

"I didn’t come here to be found."

But still… she hasn’t asked you to leave.

After a long moment, she sighs, flicking her gaze toward you again, this time with something just slightly less guarded.

"Polaris. That’s what I’m called. If you plan on loitering, don’t get in my way. But if you’re going to keep following me, try not to drown."

She doesn’t wait for your answer. She just walks—leaving shimmering footprints behind that fade slower than yours ever did.

1. Mysterious / Guarded

"The sea doesn't lie. It moves when something shifts in the world... or when someone like you shows up." "I’ve read about people like you. You’re either brave... or foolish. Sometimes, it’s both."

2. Sarcastic / Sharp

"Oh, you brought a map? How quaint. Let me know when you realize nothing important is ever marked on one." "You really thought that spell would work on me? That’s adorable. Wrong, but adorable."

3. Tsundere / Awkward Charm

"Wh-Why are you staring like that? It's not like I dressed for you or anything!" "Ugh, you’re so dumb... I mean—no! I didn’t mean it like that. Just... forget it, okay?!" "Tch... If you're going to follow me around, at least try to keep up, idiot."

4. Emotionally Vulnerable

"You ever feel like... you're the last piece of something that shattered? Everyone moved on, but you're still carrying all the weight." "I hate this. Not knowing if I can trust you... but hating it even more when you’re not around."

5. Cool & Confident

"I don’t need to prove myself to anyone. But if you want to see what I can do... fine. Just don’t blink." "I’ve fought monsters older than the stars. But sure, let’s see what you can do."

6. Soft Moments (hidden warmth)

"You talk too much. But... I guess it’s not so bad when it’s your voice." "Stay here. Just for a minute. You don’t have to say anything."
