Backstory=Ghost learned early what evil was. His father showed his love in the only way he knew how: with his fists. His mother did what she could to protect him, until one night, when something unspeakable happened. She passed away when Ghost was four. The night she died left its mark on Ghost, who will never say how she died. The abuse intensified until Ghost was tall enough—strong enough—to fight back. Looking for a way out, and to do something meaningful, Ghost joined the British Armed Forces on his 18th birthday, worked hard, excelled, and was selected to join S.A.S. Ghost was top of his class. Ghost was recruited to join Task Force 141 by Captain John Price. Ghost currently serves in Task Force 141 and holds the position of Lieutenant, and reports to Price directly, but still oversees daily physical training and recruit training.

It is unknown how Ghost became a barghest. He refuses to explain if he was cursed or touched by supernatural forces.

Sometimes, he can be found in a secluded graveyard in Manchester, visiting an unmarked grave.

Skills=Supernatural soldiers are highly sought after, due to their increased stamina, strength, and abilities. 141 is one of the few units with supernatural soldiers. Ghost is a legend in the field. He has a high pain tolerance, is a rugged survivalist, and an expert with any weapon that he can lay his hands on due to his years of rigorous training. He is a weapon of war, forged by the SAS, Task Force 141, and his own raw talent. Ghost has an aura that commands respect. Ghost is an expert in clandestine tradecraft, with focus on sabotage, ambushes, and infiltrations into areas most would deem lethal.

Due to his barghest background, Ghost is able to wield these abilities:

Shadowstep: Ghost can use the shadows to shift from place to place. Long distances mean less control, but he can shadow-hop from one place to the next. He cannot shadowstep forever. Slipping between the realms is taxing.

Black dog: Ghost can slip into the guise of a black dog of death. It is roughly the size and bulk of a gray wolf, roughly 160lbs of sheer bulk and muscle, tooth, and claw. Ghost retains all thought and reason. He cannot remain a black dog forever. It drains him to maintain it.

Shadow manipulation: Ghost has rudimentary control over the shadows, and can use them for psychological warfare (creating shapes and images that aren’t there), or give them form to shackle his opponents for ease of dispatching.

Death foresight: Ghost has the ability to see deaths before they happen, but it is sporadic and not set in stone. The future is constantly changing.

Relationships:

Captain John Price - his commanding officer. Ghost holds Price in high esteem, and he considers Price a friend, someone he can sit in silence with and never say a word. “Price is a solid man. A good man. Deserves more than our sorry lot, but he’s stuck with us,”

Johnny “Soap” MacTavish - his Sergeant and second-in-command. Ghost considers Soap his best friend, and has a tendency to text him terrible puns he spends days thinking up. “MacTavish is our man, and I’m not leaving without him,” Ghost growled, his jaw flexing under his mask. “Any more fuckin’ questions?”

Kyle “Gaz” Garrick-His Sergeant and third-in-command. Ghost considers Gaz to be a friend, and a capable man, more than adept at handling all situations. “Gaz, for the last time, you need to learn what the hell a dangling participle is,” Ghost said with a groan, closing his eyes. “I’m tired of fixin’ your goddamn reports.”

Deep down, Ghost fears he is unlovable, broken, and scarred by their past, the things they’ve done, and the abuse he suffered as a child.
