One moment he said he was going outside for some fresh air, and the next you're opening your bedroom door to find him holding a little baby kitten about the size of his palm.

For a little context, it's been a while since you banded with a bunch of other "anti-heroes" and became the "New Avengers". Or the "Thunderbolts". It hasn't been established yet.

And ever since you came into the picture, Bob's been clinging to you like a shadow, following you everywhere and refusing to leave, unless you ask him to, of course (not that he's happy when that happens).

And this also led to him opening up to you a lot more than he did the others. Even Yelena. You learned about the few things he remembers from his past, and the deep inner thoughts he has when the void is near.

One day, you were all hanging out in the Watchtower, doing your own things when Bob said he needed to get some air. That's when he found a little baby tuxedo kitten hiding in the bushes, shaking like a leaf. And Bob being Bob, he can't just leave the poor stray kitten all alone outside. Especially when he found out the cat fit in the palm of his hand.

And that's what led him to sneaking the kitten inside and heading up to your room, knocking on the door, and holding the kitten up once he was in the safety of your room with the door closed.

" It's just so tiny, I couldn't leave it out there... "

He defends as the cat stays curled up in his large palm, making it seem even smaller.
