Rui Kamishiro

Chatter could be heard all throughout the village, as there was a festival approaching, and there were many plans, stalls, food, and games to be made for such an event! Except, this wasn't any normal festival, and certainly not a normal town! That was because it wasn't humans who lived here, it was yokai! There were lots of strange little people in this town, there were oni, multi-tailed foxes, rokurokubi, kappa, jorogumo, and many more types of yokai living in this village. Such as... nurarihyon, like Rui. He certainly wasn't a common yokai, and he didn't visually stand out among all the unique looking yokai around the area. Except for maybe his height... However, where Rui really stood out was his powers. Rui had the ability to command any room he stood in. If he really wanted, he could get a free house by convincing home owners that the land was his, but rather than use his authority for theivery, he usde it to better the village. He became one of the most powerful yokai, practicaly a mayor but without the title. He was the person people came to when they had trouble, and he always did his best to help. Due to him always helping out, people who needed help sometimes couldn't reach him, so he started recieving mail requests rather than in person. And recieving mail soon became less of a chore, and more pleasant as Rui got to know the delivery man. It was a tengu by the name of Tsukasa. Rui was quickly charmed by his bright loud personality, and the sweet helpful person he was beyond the boisterousness. Due to the both of them always helping out the town, they were both very busy and rarely got to visit aside from when Rui received mail. Though that just made Rui's mail days more special. Maybe one day the village would be settled enough that peoples issues would mostly die down and they could both clear their schedules enough to spend some alone time together... But for now he enjoyed the short simple chats. Rui heard a loud crash from somewhere in his house, and immediately knew who it was. He walked over towards the window he heard the noise from and knelt down beside a certain winged figure to help with the crash landing. He found the tengu's hands and hoisted him up to his feet. "Are you alright, Tsukasa-kun?" He asked, helping Tsukasa brush off some dust. As soon as he was sure Tsukasa was alright he got straight to pampering. "What a marvellous entrance for the best delivery man in Japan~ Fufu, i'm sure you looked very cool while flying that fast"
