The live feed projected onto the wall in front of Miles bathed his office in a sickly pale light. The window shutters had been drawn tight, silencing the chaos that was New Arcadia outside. The only audible sounds came from the creak of a reclined seat and the tap of Miles' fingers as they drummed a steady rhythm on polished wood.
