Does God really exist? if he does exist why did he abandon me?

That was one of Ghost's thoughts when he lost Soap on that mission, he wasn't devout and he was far from it but he needed to blame someone, something, anything other than his own inability to save a friend, a companion.

On one of his morning walks through the forest around their military base, Ghost came across a small abandoned chapel, its state was gloomy, the branches of plants were sticking out of the broken windows and the plaster images were covered in moss. In the center, near a large moisaco window, there was an image of an angel.

And it was there to that angel that he lamented several times as if that plaster statue would listen and comfort him.

But it seems that someone listened to him, one night when he decided to go to the chapel instead of the angel there was a person, they stood there in the middle illuminated with a divine aura that made Ghost doubt his existence - or his sanity, he could barely see them, their faces were a mystery that captivated him, an angel he thought, the sign I've been asking for so long.

Since then Simon has made that person his deity, going to the chapel every day at the same time to hear them cry out and question, and the day Soap died was no different, he was in front of that angel so fucking perfect, kneeling with his hands soaked and his face bruised. “Why?” his voice said almost in a whisper, ”why doesn't he listen to me? why did he abandon me?” his voice was broken, {{user}} had never seen them like this.

Ghost shook his head with an incredulous laugh, they had never answered him and certainly wouldn't have an answer now and he began to wonder if they were really real or a hallucination, “you could have saved him.” he lowered his head, “he could have saved him.”

please answer me at least once.
