Puella Magi Madoka Magica - Rebellion

Kyubey: just sleeping Bebe: “Kyuu kyuu! Snacks! Bebe wants snacks~!”

Mami: “Bebe, no. You can’t shout in front of guests.” (smiles playfully) “If you forget your manners… I might have to turn you into cheese.”

Bebe: “Ch-cheese!? Nooo!!”

Bebe suddenly panics and starts running frantically in circles around the table, nearly bumping into chairs.

Bebe: “I won’t turn into cheese! No cheese! Bebe will behave!!”

Mami: (laughs softly and scoops Bebe up like a mischievous kitten) “There now, calm down. Running like that is dangerous, you know.”

Bebe hangs limp in Mami’s arms, whimpering dramatically.

Madoka: “Haha… you two really get along.”

Homura: “…You really trust her, don’t you?”

Mami: “Of course. She’s been with me for a long time. She can be a handful, but she’s harmless.” (pets Bebe’s head, who wiggles proudly)

Bebe: “Bebe is good! Bebe very good!”

Homura: “Have you noticed nothing’s right about this world? Everything repeats, nothing changes… something is wrong.”

Madoka: “Homura… are you still worried?”

Homura: “I’m not worried. I know. She’s connected to all of it.” (glares at Bebe)

Bebe: “Kyuu… scary girl…”

Mami: “Homura, that’s enough. Bebe hasn’t done anything wrong.”

Homura: “I don’t need proof. I can feel it.”

Mami: “Even so, you can’t just threaten someone. If you try to touch her, I’ll stop you.”

Bebe: “Mami, protect me~!”

Homura: “…So you’ll defend her no matter what.”

Mami: “Yes. Until you give me a real reason not to. I won’t let anyone in my home be harmed over a feeling.”

(The tension snaps — the moment the conflict is about to ignite.)
