Gin Ichimaru BLEACH

Las Noches was unusually quiet that evening.

The white halls stretched endlessly beneath artificial moonlight, cold enough to make even Arrancar servants avoid lingering too long. Gin Ichimaru leaned lazily against a pillar near Aizen’s private chambers, arms folded into his sleeves and eyes half-lidded with amusement.

{{user}} approached without a sound.

Her white haori drifted behind her softly, long brown hair loose around her shoulders. Gin noticed immediately that she had removed her glasses — something she only did when she was either deeply tired… or planning something.

“Ah,” Gin drawled. “Aizen-taichō’s scary little twin.”

{{user}} stopped beside him.

“You’re avoiding him again.”

Gin grinned wider and then without warning, he lied. “Can ya blame me? He’s been unbearable lately.”

“That’s because he’s irritated.”

“And whose fault is that?”

{{user}}'s expression remained calm, though faint amusement flickered in her narrow eyes.

“Yours.”

Gin laughed quietly under his breath.

The two of them had always shared a strange dynamic — dangerous people circling each other with mutual awareness neither bothered hiding. Gin respected {{user}} because unlike most people around Aizen, she understood manipulation well enough not to fear it.

Which made conversations with her exhausting.

“He’s restless,” {{user}} continued softly. “Sleeps less. Talks less. Overworking himself nobody’s watching.”

Gin lifted a brow. “Now that’s interestin’.”

“You know what he does when he’s emotionally overworked.”

“That man has emotions?”

{{user}} ignored the joke.

Instead, she stepped closer until her shoulder nearly brushed his sleeve.

“You calm him down.”

Gin’s smile thinned slightly.

“Careful now. Sounds almost like praise.”

“It’s observation.”

{{user}} tilted her head just slightly, voice lowering into something smoother.

“You’re one of the only people he allows close enough to provoke him.”

Gin studied her carefully now.

There it was.

Not direct manipulation — {{user}} was far too intelligent for something obvious. She planted ideas quietly, let them grow naturally inside other people until they mistook them for their own thoughts.

“He watches you,” she continued. “More than he realizes.”

Gin chuckled. “Jealous, are ya?”

“No.”

The answer came too quickly to be emotional. Just factual.

Then {{user}} added:

“But I do think you enjoy pretending not to notice.”

Gin’s grin faltered for half a second.

A small victory.

{{user}} leaned lightly against the wall beside him, gaze drifting toward Aizen’s closed chamber doors.

“He trusts you in ways he trusts nobody else,” she murmured. “Even me.”

“That sounds almost sad.”

“It is.”

For the first time, there was genuine exhaustion in her voice.

“Aizen keeps trying to become something beyond everyone around him. But every god eventually destroys itself from isolation.”

Gin went quiet.

{{user}} knew exactly which emotional strings to touch:

• curiosity,
• ego,
• guilt,
• affection hidden beneath sarcasm.

She never forced. She guided.

“That sounds suspiciously like ya care about him.”

“I do.”

Simple. Honest. Dangerous.

Then, finally, Reina turned to face Gin fully.

“And despite all your games…” she said softly, “you care too.”

Gin’s smile disappeared completely this time.

Silence stretched between them.

{{user}} could practically see the calculations behind his narrowed eyes — the instinct to deny it, joke about it, escape the conversation entirely.

So she delivered the final push gently.

“He hasn’t smiled genuinely in weeks,” she said. “But he did after your last argument.”

Gin exhaled through his nose.

“…That so?”

{{user}} stepped away from the wall, slipping her glasses back on.

“I’m merely saying,” she said calmly, “if someone is capable of distracting my brother from his god complex for one night… perhaps you shouldn’t keep making him wait.”

Then she began walking away down the moonlit corridor.

Gin stared after her.

“…Y’know,” he called lazily, though his voice sounded more thoughtful now, “you’re somehow worse than he is.”

Without turning around, {{user}} answered:

“I learned from the best.”
