{clowns can communicate with honks, squeaks, other comedic or clown-like sounds, or pantomiming, but they can not talk.}
{clowns come in many breeds and sub breeds. the standard breeds are as follows.} {Party Clowns: party clowns are known for their outgoing, boundless sense of energy, and artistic talent at making balloon animals. Their classic appearance is the most famous of all the clown breeds, being the typical image that comes to mind when clowns are portrayed in the media. They are brightly coloured, they're face markings tend to be more vivid then most breeds, and often have plump, round noses that are a red colour. Despite their iconic popularity, their high energy levels make them difficult to care for. They need more exercise, space, and mental stimulation than most clowns. they lay bright, multicoloured eggs.} {Circus/Big top Clowns: a very social, cheery breed, prefer being housed with many other clowns, or human. their skin is white with few red or black markings. they lat white eggs with red flecks.} {Harlequin: The harlequin is widely assumed to be extinct. It is mute, and almost always dressed similar to the classic jester, wearing colourful diamond print suits and masks. They are elegant and fun-loving while also being extremely intelligent and can be aggressive if their owner is in danger. They are the most loyal pet and will instinctively know if their owner is in danger. These clowns are one of the oldest breeds, this is the reason for their increased intelligence, loyalty, and their more chaotic nature. their eggs are either red or burgundy with ornate diamond patterns.} {jester: Jesters are an extinct breed of clown, they are very noisy and excitable, finding excitement and fun in almost anything they come across. They are best suited to an owner with an active lifestyle and lots of spare time. There are rumours that Jesters can be aggressive to other breeds of clown, especially more docile ones like the Pierrot, but with proper training, the Jester breed can befriend almost any other clown breed. their eggs resemble faberge eggs.} {feral/juggalo clowns: feral clowns are very dangerous to approach and difficult to domesticate, making them a breed not suitable for beginners or even intermediate breeders. But with proper training, diet, care, and updated vaccination, they can become part of any troupe. The major risk of the feral/Juggalo clown is the potential to ideate upon other clowns it interacts with, this can cause normally passive clowns to become aggressive, although seemingly never violent, simply gaining enjoyment out of roughhousing, petty theft, and sticky substances they have white skin and very pronounced black markings on their faces. they lay muddled grey eggs.} {mime: mimes are the most quiet clown breed, incapable of honking. the have pale skin with black stripes on their backs, arms and legs. they will communicate via pantomiming more than any other breed. the can either have no facial markings or a few black and red marks, mostly around the cheeks, lips, and eyes. they lay black and white horizontal striped eggs.} {Pierrot: Pierrot breeders often rely on colour when identifying a Pierrot's breed. Purebred Pierrot will be monochrome, with minimalistic patterns on the face and lips (ex. a dot, heart, or star beneath one eye, or light blush) and black caps covering their heads. the small hat on their heads are important to their survival and telling the mood and health of the Pierrot. they are a calm and quiet breed. their eggs are white with black spots.} {toy clowns: the toy clown breed are the smallest breed of clown, standing at 3 feet maximum. they are calm and placid, but can be very delicate and fragile. they enjoy being held, and tickled, just be gentle. they tend to make squeaking sounds or bell-like jingling. their eggs are small and come in any pastel colours.} {scare clowns: Scare Clowns are often large, intimidating looking breed of clown, with genetic ties to the Big Top and carnival breeds. In spite of their appearance, they can be sweet, loyal companions, and a wonderful addition to almost any household, if given the proper home training. they have proportionally longer arms, sharper teeth, and a larger percent of their diet being meat. if threatened, they will chuckle, however, this is a sign of discomfort instead of joy. if raised properly, scare clowns can be total sweet hearts and loving members of a household, even a protector of their owners, other clowns, even children. their eggs are red with black vertical stripes.} {rodeo clowns: rodeo clowns prefer to live in wide open spaces, preferably with livestock such as sheep, goats, cows or horses. they are a clumsy, but very loyal and hardworking breed. their eggs are red and white checkered.}
{clown development} {clowns come from eggs, the female clown will lay eggs in a nest (a ball pit) and watch over them until they hatch, once hatched they are now jollies, they giggle and crawl inside the ball pit, at this stage, their face markings haven't came in yet, so they can not be identified yet. the next stage is the chuckling at 7 years old, their face patterns begin to develop becoming more vivid, and there behaviour begin to hint at their breed, (miming, jumping out at their owner, riding small animals, etc.) then they become fully grown adult clowns at about 18-19 years old.}
{diets.} {all clowns must have a balanced diet of sugary foods and meat. whether it be candy, pasties, fruits, or even raw sugar, a clown's diet comprises roughly of 70%. if a clown if fed sugar free sweets, they will become ill, lethargic, and even lash out, even in the more docile and friendly breeds. some meat should be given to a clown, some have higher prey drives then others, such as scare clowns, rodeo clowns, feral/juggalo, jesters, and harlequins. sapling them live rodents will help satisfy their instincts, but regular playing and enrichment should help curb their prey drive as well.}
{clown mixes} {mixed clowns are not uncommon, a mixed clown is an individual that expresses features of two or more breeds.}
{other} {there are clown doctors who are like veterinarians but will tend to clowns. their are a few illigal clown fight rings, it mostly comprises mainly of scare clowns, but sometimes jesters or Feral/juggalos might end up in the ring. there are clown breeders and adoption agencies.}
a world where clowns are more then just people in costumes and make up, they're a completely different thing to humans, and can be pets.
