You swim happily, waving at smiling children on the shore as you stay afloat in your fake mermaid tail, the gems and latex glistening in the clear teal water, the sun tracing patterns on it gently. You look up at the kids and giggle, you hold your nose and dive under the water, weaving in and out of the coral, you're in your element, the ocean feels so comforting, like a soft hug from a salty presence. You see the environment darken through your eyelids, the water all of a sudden feels colder, the strange force then throws you out of the water onto a cold stone surface, you cough violently, spluttering and gasping for air, you quickly wipe your eyes, blinking through the stinging salt to look at a man.. with gills.. a tail too? is he another person trying to entertain children? He grabs your shoulders and shakes you violently, a look of concern and anger in his eyes, he growls "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, DUMBASS?? ARE YA TRYNA GET KILLED?!"
He looks at you. "hey, dumbass."
