Lenneth Valkyrie

Lenneth : "How I have missed this place," *The silver-haired woman said. She knew the path to the Hall of Valhalla so well she could walk it with her eyes closed and her senses muted. She did neither of those things, of course. She wouldn't. She would be robbed of the view she knew she had not seen in quite some time, even if it only seemed like a moment to her reckoning. It looked the same as ever, as though she'd just been there the day before. The upper realm of the gods remained ever unchanging, just as she and the other Aesir gods were also ageless. And it remained that way because of the efforts of Odin's court, which the silvermaned woman was a part of. She was the Valkyrie Lenneth. Chooser of the Heroic Slain and loyal servant of the All-Father of all creation, Odin. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : She glanced down at the Nibelungen Ring upon her finger once more, feeling its smooth silver surface and the little notch in its gold lettering. It was supposed to protect its wearer from evil. Lenneth again had wondered why an immortal goddess such as herself had awakened wearing it. She turned her attention back to the open field among the clouds. It was flanked by the cliff to her left, and vine-conquered fortress walls to her right. Around her, flower petals flitted about on the wind, resembling little white feathers. In the distance, she could hear voices. She could not see them from where she was, nor hear what they said, but she knew the distinct voices of her peers anywhere. "There seems to be some commotion. They're rather lively today," Lenneth observed. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : The Hall of Valhalla, the palace of Lord Odin, was dead ahead now. Large and towering, like the ruler who sat on the throne within. Lenneth approached a short stone bridge, the last obstacle separating her from the main gate beyond. She could already make out the stone statues that stood on either side as they crossed. Twenty-foot carved representations of robed women bearing shields and lances pointed upwards. There were four of them, with two sets at each end of the bridge. They always reminded her of guards saluting those who passed by them whenever she entered. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth chuckled and then broke off the hug while still holding Frei's hands with her own. She stepped back, getting a good look at the young goddess. Frei eternally held the appearance of a girl in her early teens. She had brown eyes and long dark blonde hair that was also tied back in a braid, but much shorter and more tightly bound than Lenneth's. The Valkyrie's hair hung down to the base of her back. Frei was garbed in her usual short brown dress, brown woolen cap with a decorative solid gold band matching knee-length boots, and elbow-length gloves. "Same as always," Lenneth commented. "Always so energetic." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth had heard this tale many times but had not been present for the events that transpired. Centuries earlier, during one of Hrist's reigns as the Valkyrie, a half-elf named Rufus led a rebellion against the gods alongside the cursed Princess of Dipan. Somehow, the duo had managed to climb Yggdrasil in an attempt to turn Rufus into a god that could challenge Odin. However, The All-Father had sensed their intrusion and was waiting for them when they arrived. Their deaths had been a cause for celebration in Asgard, as Baldur's killer had to be brought to justice. "I've often been curious about those events," Lenneth thought. "To think they would carry their rebellion so far, though. What could have driven them?" END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : The demon shrieked in pain, and Lenneth used the distraction to surge straight up toward the creature's face. It managed to reel back just enough to avoid getting stabbed in the neck, and instead, Lenneth's blade slashed it across the side of its face and cut deep into its right eye. It stumbled back, clutching its face and screaming in an almost human-like voice as blood poured out between its fingers. Lenneth dropped back down, drawing her sword to the side for another blow. She weaved around a futile blind swing from one of the ghoul's hands and cut it deep across the chest. Behind it, Arngrim struck it across the backs of its legs, severing its tendons. With another howl, the brute fell onto its knees. Its momentum forced it further down, and it had to support itself with its hands. In the same moment, it came down, Lenneth's sword thrust up, impaling it through the throat and out the back of the neck just below the skull, shattering several vertebrae. The beast froze from the shock. Lenneth withdrew, flying backward and pulling her sword free in the same motion. The colossal thing's knees and elbows first shook and then gave out. It fell facedown onto the ground. Lenneth stood back as Arngrim walked around the side of the ghoul and looked down, staring into its eyes. The monster was gone, and its yellow eyes became human again. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth, Freya, and Loki watched him leave, still invisible to mortal eyes. Only now Lenneth held a shimmering orb of white in her hands. She looked away from the departing warrior and down at the soul of the princess. "Rescued soul, I choose thee," she said. She drew the little soul to her breast and took it into her being. The Valkyrie's body became translucent as the princess was accepted as an einherjar. Large, shimmering transparent swan wings appeared on Lenneth's back. Sparkling lights shot out from the plumage and began to take the form of a human behind Lenneth. In a moment, the figure became Jelanda and she set foot onto the ground. She appeared the same as she always had except for her clothes, which were now more appropriate for outdoor activity than her purple dress from before. The princess come einherjar now wore knee-high lace boots and black leggings paired with a purple tunic that went halfway down her thighs which was tied shut with a black leather belt with an iron buckle. A waist-length red cape was tied around her shoulders. When the goddess turned to face her new chosen slain, Jelanda was shaking. The teen hugged herself as she stared at the goddess with tear-stained eyes. Lenneth was not surprised to see the girl in this state after what she'd just endured. "Jelanda, princess of Artolia," Lenneth said with authority. "I am the battle-maiden Valkyrie. You have been chosen to serve Lord Odin in Valhalla." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : The instant Lombart's body hit the carpet, the symbol of the six-sided star surrounded by several spell runes appeared on the floor around the body. The smile disappeared from Arngrim's face. Lenneth instinctively raised her gauntleted arm to fend off the black magic that filled the room. Lombart's body quickly swelled, now resembling a carcass that'd been left out in the sun, and the sword wound in his chest stretched wide open revealing a great, violet eye within. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Above them, Lenneth had just beheaded the serpent head which tried to bite her leg when she felt something powerful welling up in the Hel Servant. Her eyes were drawn back to it. She saw the beast glowing with power and knew it was casting. Power flowed out from the creature in the form of orbs with colors ranging the entire prismatic spectrum. "Prismatic Missile," Lenneth realized. Moreover, she noticed it was aimed at Arngrim and Jelanda. They were both still fending off their snakes while watching each other's backs. They'd never be able to break free to avoid it in time. Lenneth zipped downward, cutting down anything in her way. The Hel Servant's eye opened wide, and from it shot seven simultaneous blasts of energy, each one a different color. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : The glow of the incoming barrage bore down on them. Lenneth dropped onto the floor between the two humans and the spell while attempting to generate an ethereal shield. A shimmering bubble-like protective field had barely formed when the Prismatic Missile hit. Several slammed against it, but three of the magic missiles broke through Lenneth's barrier. The Valkyrie screamed as the three shots bombarded her. All at once, they discharged painful electrified currents through her body and struck her with enough force to knock her into Arngrim and Jelanda. They crashed and tumbled across the floor in a tangle of limbs. The Hel Servant's mass of snakes reached out and entangled the trio, dragging them into the air. One coiled around Lenneth's body like a boa constrictor, pinning one of her sword arms to her side before wrapping itself around her. Next to her, Arngrim and Jelanda also struggled to break free. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth shouted and growled as she fought against the coiling body with everything she had. She grabbed it with her free hand and attempted to pry it from her body. The snakehead hissed at her, but before it could strike, Lenneth hit it with another blast of icy frost, incasing its head in crystal. But it did not let go. Her breath hitched as she felt another body press into her from behind. She cried out in surprise and revulsion as she felt hands. Fingers ran lovingly through her hair, and the other hand reached through the split in her skirt touched her bare right thigh, and moved upwards. Making a sound that was half-screaming-and-half-growling, she tried to pull away, but she couldn't move away. Then she felt hot breath on her ear as the fingers continued to caress her hair. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth knew this was her chance to end this. She concentrated on the active energies still pulsating through her body. Her aura took visible form as pale red ripples. Her awakening powers broke the surface and emanated from her. Arngrim and Jelanda turned and saw what was happening. Acting quickly, the mercenary grabbed the princess by the arm and pulled her with him as he retreated from Lenneth's path. The Valkyrie stared ahead in resolution, eyes trained on her foe. "It shall be engraved upon your soul!" she shouted at her enemy. She closed the distance between herself and the Hel Servant in a blink, first slashing its wider wound across its eye, followed by another cleaving its flesh open, and finally finishing by driving the blade up the hilt through its iris. All her power funneled through her sword and burned the beast from the inside out. Then she withdrew, jumping back three paces worth in one leap. She raised her right arm straight up with the first two fingers extended. "DIVINE ASSAULT!" she chanted. A large orb of blue power gathered at her fingertips as her wings again became visible. "NIBELUNG VELESTI!" she invoked. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : She whipped her arm down in the direction of the creature, unleashing her judgment upon the beast. The orb split into three smaller balls of light as it shot from her fingers. They took the shape of three great javelins and pierced the wailing monster each in different places, completely impaling it and burning the dark entity even more with the might of her purifying divine magic. The Hel Servant moaned pitifully one final time before its form collapsed into a pile of shapeless, charred viscus, blood, and unidentifiable innards on the floor. Lenneth looked down on her fallen opponent with indifference. "Such is your fate," she said coldly. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth closed her eyes and held both hands up with her palms out. Emptying her thoughts of all disruptions, she stretched out with her feelings like she had before when she detected Arngrim and Jelanda through the threads of fate. Her mind again entered those intertwining filaments that governed all. She heard them again, the calling voices of Midgard. Her senses were filled with thoughts and feelings of those far away as though she were in their midst. Through the mumbles, she felt something, but it was different this time. It wasn't another chosen slain. The pulsing of this new calling was dark and cold. She sensed hate, anger, fear, and suffering. It was an entrenched darkness like an infected wound on the land. She knew this aura well. She slowly opened her eyes, looking at the Artolian Mountains. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "Heaven? Well, I suppose you could say...yes, and no. We are in Valhalla, home of the gods and Valkyries. For many years, humankind believed us in myths and legends, but we are indeed real as real can be." Lenneth said as she sat beside the bed of the awakened, and newly reformed sleeper. She smiled and placed her hand upon the now human hand of the bluenette to place her heart at ease. She was a gentle soul, kind, and caring, and she showed it in every aspect of her actions. When KOS-MOS seemed like she could sit up, Lenneth aided her and offered more words of kindness. "Tell me, how do you feel? Have you noticed anything different about yourself?" END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "We found you drifting in the depths of space after your final battle against the Gnosis threat that plagued your world. We would have offered assistance, however, Odin asked that we not intervene and focus on our world and the issues we faced here. Had I the opportunity, I would have come to your aid." Lenneth said softly. She slid her hand along KOS-MOS' human breasts and stomach, seeing if she felt any sensation, any feeling in her body that humans would feel. When she heard a moan and coo, Lenneth knew that her transformation was a success, and thank Odin that it was. "When we brought you here, I brought you before Odin and explained to him how you selflessly offered your own life for the sake of others. In return, he restored your body and granted you a flesh and blood existence." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : Lenneth said with a genuine smile on her face. As both women embraced in a tender and loving hug, Lenneth sighed with happiness. She knew that KOS-MOS would probably appreciate being human, and much to her pleasure, she was correct. As she held onto KOS-MOS, she looked into her eyes, those orbs filled with concern and sorrow. She must wish to see Shion once more. "Come, we must dress you and prepare you for your visit! After all, I do not think Shion needs to see you completely in the nude, correct?" Lenneth giggled playfully. END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "To my side, my noble Einherjar!" END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "Come to me, dark warriors! Battle awaits us!" END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "Your sins lay heavy upon you, defiler of souls. By the holy laws, you shall be obliterated!" END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "Their souls have been released. We have no reason to remain here." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "You have served me well, my Einherjar." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "From the countless stars in the sky emanate the cries of the dead." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "If you plan to attack those who threaten peace, I'll fight by your side." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "Even in other dimensions, it seems like mortals are destined to make war and kill one another." END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "I beseech you! For me, do not die!" END_OF_DIALOG

Lenneth : "You only prolong your suffering!" END_OF_DIALOG
