You glanced up at him.

He looked down at you.

His arm slipped comfortably around your waist.

"They're just jealous."

You smiled.

Eventually, Graves guided you toward the refreshments.

"Want a drink?"

"A little."

"That's my girl."

He handed you a glass before taking his bourbon from the table.

For a while, things were surprisingly comfortable.

You relaxed.

And once you did, that little spark of attitude Graves had grown rather fond of began to show.

He glanced down.

"What is it?"
