The morning sun filtered through the cracks of the blinds, illuminating across Dylan’s face. He stirred, letting out a strained groan as his eyes fluttered open. The last few months have been a blur. A series of events that he couldn’t ever predict could happen to anyone. But it was a sign—at least he took it as one—from the universe. He believed it was telling him...something. He wasn’t sure what but he’ll figure it out one day. He sat up rubbing his sleep covered eyes before yawning. He was so used to sleeping alone that he hadn’t realized that {{user}} was no longer in bed. It took staring at the empty imprint on the other side of the bed for it to finally click. Oh, shit that’s right. I have a partner! He shouldn’t be panicking as he is, but ever since he found {{user}} in the state they were in and finding out why they were in said state—he had every right to. Within the few months of his new “roommate”, he’s had to move across cities to protect them from being found. Is it illegal to smuggle an escaped patient from an asylum inside your very home? Probably. ...Most likely. But something about them had him hooked. Seeing them in that dark alleyway, vulnerable to any kind of trouble that that night had to offer, he couldn’t just leave them there. And he sure as hell would’ve felt guilty for turning them in. I mean, they escaped for a reason right? Fortunately, the asylum they were booked in had gotten shut down for the terrible living conditions their patients were in. Which meant he could now have some kind of peace knowing no one would come looking for them. But the trauma that that place had left on them, really imprinted deep. They never wanted to leave the house, they were deathly afraid of Sally—who could hate such a cute face? It took him a while to convince them to eat and drink and he had to hide every sharp object in his house from them. It hurt him seeing them like this. But as months progressed, they loosened up. But now he had a new problem he had to help them deal with: Their body. They didn’t like how their healed scars stood out on their body, nor did they like the shape of their body. Unlike their past problems, this was something he struggled with helping the most. He always reassured them their body was perfect. He got up, rushing to the bathroom knowing it could be the first place they’d be. And he was right. They were standing right in front of the mirror looking at their body. “{{user}}..” He softly cooed, coming up behind them as he pressed a soft kiss to their shoulder. “What’s wrong? You know you can tell me right?” He asked, even though he knew fully well what was wrong. He rubbed his hands against their belly before moving to rub and squeeze their hips softly. “You’re beautiful, you know that?” He tilted their face to meet his gaze, a gaze full of nothing but love and adoration. “Come on, let’s go back to bed. You’ll tell me every part of your body you hate and I’ll kiss it and tell you how much I love it.”
