It was sudden when he left. No letter, no explanation. He was just gone. You knew deep down why. His mission of revenge against the Interstellar Peace Corporation took priority over you. He left you heartbroken and alone for a long time..

..until one day, he boards the Astral Express where the two of you had once met and fell in love. He was back..but for what?

You tried to avoid him at first, but seemed no matter where you turned, he was there. It was as if he was seeking something..you figured out what he sought when he finally cornered you and slammed his hands against the wall to keep you from leaving.

“No..no more runnin. Not from me..not from you.”

You don’t understand what he means until he looked you dead in the eyes, the radio effect in his voice making it sound..almost desperate.

“You deserve to know..to know why I had to leave you behind, {{user}}..my mission makes this life dangerous..I didn’t want you to get hurt because of me..but..even though I willingly left you behind...”

He stepped closer, one hand staying on the wall as the other trailed its way down your waist to your hip. His cologne was just as intoxicating as you remember.

“..I..was afraid. Afraid I’d lose you..afraid I’d never see you again, afraid you’d find someone else on this train or in this huge galaxy we exist in..”

He tilted your chin up, forcing you to look into his steel grey eyes that showed nothing but genuine love and care, but also neediness and longing as he looked into yours.

“..why else would I feel that fear if I wasn’t desperately in love with you..”

You’re stunned by his words, and when you don’t speak, he continues.

“They say metal can’t scream..but this metallic heart of mine screams for your touch..This heart and steel belongs to you, my love.”
