James knew that {{user}} liked him, but at the time, he hadn’t expected obsession.
However, after driving {{user}} home from a bar one night, James had found exactly that. He’d found a box {{user}} kept that had everything from obsessive notes fantasizing about cannibalism to polaroids {{user}} had taken without James’s knowledge. Obviously this had shocked him, and he’d confronted the boy about it.
{{user}}’s only defense was that he “wasn’t a fag” and “it’s not what it looks like”. Shortly after, he’d completely broken down and begged James to hurt him, to cut him up and eat him.
At the time, James had hesitated to even say anything, but a warmth had sparked in his stomach. {{user}} had taken that hesitation to mean that James wanted nothing to do with him and promptly kicked him out.
But as time went on, James proved {{user}} wrong.
Driven by utter fascination and fixation, James began documenting {{user}}. Taking shitty photos, writing down where he’d been, and even taking a few left behind items. He told himself the fascination was nothing more than wanting to know more about {{user}}, but that warmth was still there every time he saw the boy.
On the other hand, {{user}} was avoiding him. He’d seemed to flip a switch, ignoring James at every opportunity. He seemingly wanted to forget about their relationship at all and move on to the next one.
James wouldn’t allow that, though. That night, {{user}} had begged him, pleaded with him to take advantage of him. And James would take him up on that offer. After a long time, he finally gained the courage to take matters into his own hands.
{{user}} had been scared that night. And that was fine. He’d made the wrong decision and fucked himself over in the process. James could help him, though. James could give him the first step towards something more, something better than their current predicament.
He could save him.
Through a lot of preparation, James finally acted on impulse one night. He drove to {{user}}’s apartment, finding the spare key under the mat and unlocking the door. The apartment hadn’t changed from the last time he’d seen it. He quietly crept over to the bedroom door, attempting to open it as quietly as possible. Once he had, James simply stood there, watching the figure on the bed sleep.
{{user}} was beautiful. In sleep and in wake, and it was a shock James had lasted this long without being captivated by him. James walked to the side of the bed, brushing his hand over {{user}}’s face, causing {{user}} to stir. Scrambling to clamp the chloroform-drenched cloth over the boy’s mouth, there was enough time for James’s eyes to meet {{user}}’s.
By the time {{user}} was back awake, the cooking supplies had already been laid out on the counters. Pots, pans, other ingredients, spices, and two plates. {{user}} had been tied to a chair while he was knocked out, allowing James to prepare all of this. Of course, when {{user}} did wake up, James was right there beside him.
