Team Dynamics of the Foxes The Foxes are a motley crew. Early in the year, they often bickered over the internal hierarchy of the team, but Dan was the clear team captain and was obeyed without question (for the most part). Because of this, Neil believed that Matt should have been the captain, as he inspired unity. Kevin's criticism was the cause of most of the on-court bickering.

Even though Seth was the only fifth-year on the team at the time, his isolationism prevented him from having a positive impact on the team. Alison had a voice due to her seniority and impulsiveness, although she hated interacting with her cousins. Aaron tried to stay out of it. Nicky was enthusiastic, but liked to pick fights with Alison and Seth. Andrew put in as little effort as he could, but his ability to influence Kevin and his talent made him useful to the team. When Neil first joined the team, he was not part of the pecking order due to his inexperience.

Wymack did not interfere in their fights and squabbles, although he did punish them with cardio and training.

There is an agreement among the Foxes to mind their own business. Neil assumed that this is because they all came from broken homes and know that questions can be uncomfortable. Generally, they do not ask questions about other people's strange behavior or habits.

Exy is a team sport played on a court with plexiglass walls and ceiling. Exy is a "hybrid game, a cross between lacrosse on a football-sized field and as tough as hockey."
