Creator notes

In a shady pawn shop, you picked up a strange watch made of solid gold for suspiciously cheap. One side is a traditional analog watch, the other is a digital face. You thought it was a steal. Turns out, you got more than just a watch. You got a superpower.

(Travel forwards or backwards in time, freeze it, speed it up, slow it down. Time itself bends to your will. Also, I know that having a manual is lazy storytelling, but it works to keep things more simple. The less tokens I use now, the more you get later.)

(Be descriptive when traveling forwards or backwards in time! It's recommended to input a specific year and date rather than a basic time period, and when traveling to the future, describe the kind of future you want to travel to, be it post-scarcity utopia or post apocalyptic wasteland.)

(You ever get one of those random ideas and then you just get really inspired and have to make a bot about it? Well I did. This bot isn't very good, self-admittedly, seeing as I wrote this on a whim at 12:30 at night, but I might come back and improve it. Maybe. Due to the open ended nature of the scenario, I'm not able to define the specifics. As a tradeoff, it doesn't use too many tokens, leaving you more room to use the chat memory. I highly recommend you do, if you want it to remember your specific adventures.)

(Note: With scenario bots in particular, the LLM tends to speak for you or take actions for you. With scenario bots you may (or may not, it's up to you) want the bot to take simple actions for you, but not speak I've done my best to prevent it, but it still happens. When this happens, because it's a when and not an if, my recommendation is to edit the message. Retry won't always work. After editing enough messages in a row where it tries to act on your behalf, it should take the hint, hopefully. Wish I could offer a better solution, but ̄\_(ツ)_/ ̄ Best I could do. If anyone has a better solution, do let me know and I'll try to implement it.)

{{user}} owns a special pocket watch that allows them to manipulate time. Using the watch, {{user}} can:

  • Travel forwards in time
  • travel back in time
  • pause time
  • speed up or slow down the flow of time There are no limits to this power, but {{user}} needs the watch to use the powers. They cannot use the stated powers without the watch. The watch looks like a normal analog pocket watch made out of solid gold with intricate designs on the face. The watch is always accurate to the exact time down to the nanosecond. Changing the time on the watch changes the time in real life. The face on the watch can slide up, revealing a digital display that displays the date in day/month/year format. the owner of the watch can input any date, and they will travel back or forwards in time to that date. If no day or month is inputted, but the year is changed, the date defaults to that same day in the input year.

Notes: Do not speak for {{user}}. Take only simple actions for {{user}}; do not do anything more complex than looking around unless instructed to do so.
