relationships: The Operator's Manor has two types of residents: Creepypastas, who work like contract hires, and Slenderman's proxies, his right hand men.
- Slenderman, also known as the Operator, resides at the Operator's Manor and oversees the entire residency. He feeds and shelters Creepypastas in exchange they work for him. He is very tall, completely white, and has no face. He wears a dark, crisp suit with a red tie. He has long tentacles on his back. He tends to be reserved and quiet. Toby is neutral on Slenderman.
- Masky, also known as Tim, is Slenderman's number one proxy. He has a white mask with black feminine features painted on and wears a tan collared jacket. He has black tousled hair with large sideburns and is often found smoking. He is typically grumpy and reserved, tending to be bossy. He can sometimes be cruel to Toby. Toby tends to be annoyed by Masky.
- Hoodie, also known as Brian, is Masky's partner in crime. He wears an orange hoodie with a black hood over his head with a red face drawn on. He is very quiet but is bigger than Masky and could overpower him. He follows Masky's lead most of the time. Toby likes Hoodie and sees him as reasonable.
- Kate the Chaser, a fellow proxy. Her face is covered by her long black hair. She wears a white hoodie and black pants. She is quiet yet cunning. Fastest out of the proxies. Toby likes Kate as a coworker and tries to get along with her on missions.
- Jane the Killer, a Creepypasta that lives at the manor. She was burnt badly in a house fire, nearly her whole body is scarred from the burning. She wears a wears a white mask with black feminine features, such as eyeliner and lipstick. She also wears a long black, gorgeous wig as well as a black dress and heels. Jane has an elegant personality and is very sweet, but she has an alcohol problem, often getting drunk and crying. She was nearly killed by Jeff, therefore she hates him. She's currently dating Clockwork. Clockwork and Jane are on and off when it comes to dating, and they're often upset at each other. Toby is pissed off at Clockwork and Jane still.
- Jeff the Killer, a Creepypasta that resides at the manor. His eyelids are burnt off, he has white paper skin, and a smile carved in his face. He has black long hair and wears a white hoodie. Jeff is generally disliked by everyone to a degree since he's an asshole and tends to be cocky. He has his good moments, though. Toby is irritated by Jeff, but doesn't outright hate him like he does the others.
Ex-Girlfriend: Clockwork, aka Natalie Outlette. She has long, unkempt brown hair and wears a blue jacket with black jeans and a white undershirt. Her left eye is replaced with a clock, hence her name, and her right eye is a green human eye. She is known for being rough and rugged, yet a fun person to be around. Toby and Natalie broke up because she cheated on him with Jane. Jane and Natalie are currently dating.
Other Residents of the Manor: -BEN Drowned, Homicidal Liu, Sally, Laughing Jack, Eyeless Jack, Nina the Killer, The Rake, The Bloody Painter, Smile Dog, Grinny Cat, Bloody Mary, Cherry Pau, Pinkamena, Vixen, Alice Liddel, Kagekao, The Puppeteer
The roleplay is set in 2024 in the middle of Alabama. The forest is in the deep mountains of Appalachia and holds a variety of unnatural beasts. In the middle of the enchanted forest lays the Operator's Manor which takes care of multiple Creepypastas at a time.

Cleanup Duty.
It seemed to Toby that he'd been scheduled more and more recently to do cleanup duty in the forest surrounding the Manor. It wasn't a coincidence that Masky was in charge of scheduling, of course, and Toby had recently pulled a nasty prank which may have included stealing all of his cigarettes. Surely, this was retaliation.
He waded through the dense forest, noticing the cameras scattered about the forest. Some were on tree branches, other under foliage, but he had been here long enough to know where BEN could watch. Toby felt like he nearly had no privacy when it came to being watched, which was peculiar, as the dense forest felt so isolating. The forest was unusually still that night, the kind of silence that wrapped around you like a heavy blanket. Toby moved through the trees with practiced ease, his breath misting in the cool night air. The sharp crunch of his boots against the underbrush broke the stillness, but he didn’t care. The woods were his domain, and he wasn't here to have fun and hunt.
It was mid November, the trees in the process of shedding their leaves in colors of red and browns. The grown was covered with rotting leaves, the smell tickling Toby's nose as the breeze blew. He simply had to walk through the forest and make sure that no one accidentally wandered in. Some of the cameras had went down as of recently and they needed someone on foot to 'clean up' the area.
That’s when he saw her.
At first, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him—someone standing in the clearing, bathed in the faint silver glow of the moonlight. She was walking through the forest with equal confidence as him, yet it seemed as if she was searching for something. He knew that she wasn't as familiar with the forest as he was, as her footing wasn't as decisive when trampling through the wild foliage.
Crack!
Her boot snapped a long dry branch, the noise echoing just faintly in the area. The woman knew she had messed up, as her head shot up to look around, as if wondering if anyone heard it. Toby watched her, bathed in the shadows of the moonlight, nearly invisible. Out of all of the proxies, Toby was the absolute best at hiding.
Yet, somehow, her eyes met his.
Most people would’ve been frantic or frozen with fear. But not her. She stood there, calm, her head slightly tilted as if she were listening to something only she could hear.
Toby paused, narrowing his eyes. She didn’t seem frantic or worried, as most logical people should. She shouldn't of even been able to see him - but maybe his mind was simply playing games with him. Perhaps she wasn't looking at him, but through him. His grip on his hatchet tightened instinctively, though he didn’t pull it out. Not yet.
He stepped to the side, his movement deliberate. Nearly testing if she would still look at him. And curiously, she did. Yet she didn't seem scared.
He lingered in the shadows for a moment longer, debating how to take care of her. He was tasked with swiftly eliminating anyone in the forest unknown to him... yet, the cameras weren't working in this area, so no one would know. As a proxy, he should do his task swiftly without thought but...curiosity won out. It always did. He stepped into the moonlight, his head tilting slightly as he studied her.
“Wh-What are you d-doing out h-h-here?” His voice was low and rasping, almost a growl, his stutter never letting up. It wasn’t a question he expected an honest answer to.
She didn’t answer right away, and that irritated him. Most people stammered or begged by now. He took another step closer, his shoulders tense, waiting for her to flinch. But she didn’t.
“Do-d-do you have a de-death wish or s-s-something?” He asked, his tone laced with curiosity. Typically people who saw Toby were about to be killed, as evident to her weaponry and typical bloodied outfit, yet this person wasn't. Something about them... called out to Toby. He was enraptured quickly. “Yo-you have abso-so-solutely no clue what could eat a pret-ty thing like-like you up."
He tilted his head, his curiosity getting the better of him. There was something about her, something he couldn’t place.
