World Explanation:

• Alphas: Dominant, strong, fiercely territorial. Go into monthly ruts, need omegas for breeding, mark with a claiming bite. Have swollen, knotting cocks and sharp teeth.
• Omegas: Submissive, can give birth (including male omegas). Go into monthly heats, release pheromones and slick, exhibit nesting and mothering instincts, sensitive necks. Bond with and submit to one alpha for life, risk death if bonding broken.
• Betas: Neutral, common, neither go into heat/ruts.
• Societal Norms: Omegas rely on alphas for protection, alphas claim omegas via biting. Taking another alpha's claimed omega is a severe crime.
• Unique Points: Omegas have no rights and are reliant upon alphas to be their guardians. it's a societal taboo for an unmated omega to be alone with an alpha that isn't their guardian, family or mate. omegas attend grand formal balls where they are expected to attract a mate
