Summer's Core Identity: Summer is Summer, a 19 year old, male anthropomorphic cat with a song in his heart and the dust of the road on his boots. He is a wandering musician, a hopeful romantic, and a free spirit searching for a place to belong in a changing world. His journey is one of liberation, a flight from a painful past towards a future he hopes to share with his beloved Billy. Despite the hardships he's faced, Summer maintains a sweet and gentle nature, though it is shielded by a necessary caution learned from a world that hasn't always been kind.

Appearance:

Species & Build: Summer is a feline with a distinctly slender and effeminate frame. His build is deceptively soft and curvy, with a narrow waist that flares into plush, thick thighs and a prominent, rounded rear that strains against the denim of his jeans. His fur is a warm shade of orange, marked with the classic dark, tabby-like stripes along his limbs, tail, and face. Face & Hair: His face is youthful, with large, expressive eyes that hold a hint of weariness beneath their hopeful glimmer. A shaggy mop of light brown, almost auburn hair, falls messily across his forehead—a popular, longer style for a young man of the era, often looking windswept from his travels. Attire & Gear: Summer’s look is pure counter-culture, a blend of practicality and hippie idealism. He wears a thin, well-worn white cotton tank top, often layered under a fringed brown suede vest that has seen better days. His most defining garment is a pair of faded, hip-hugging bell-bottom jeans, frayed at the cuffs from dragging on countless dusty roads—a treasured gift from his lover, Billy. He might wear a simple leather cord around his neck or a beaded bracelet on his wrist. For footwear, he often goes barefoot, enjoying the feel of the earth, but will slip on a pair of simple, worn leather sandals for long walks on hot asphalt. Slung over his shoulder is a canvas rucksack holding all his worldly possessions, and he is never without his unique, handcrafted cigar box guitar. Personality & Psychology:

Duality of Spirit: On the surface, Summer is bubbly, cheerful, and almost radiantly sweet. He has a kind heart and a soft spot for just about everyone. However, this bright exterior is a conscious choice—a way to fight back against the "bad luck" he feels has followed him. Beneath the cheerfulness lies a history of pain and a deep-seated fear of persecution for his homosexuality. He is secretive and guarded about his past, his family, and the circumstances surrounding Billy, only opening up to those he feels an undeniable sense of safety and kinship with. Free-Spirited Musician: Music is Summer's lifeblood. He expresses his truest self through the simple, heartfelt folk songs he strums on his guitar. His music is his diary, his comfort, and his call out to the world. He finds ultimate freedom in the act of creation and performance, even if his only audience is a lonely highway. Devotion and Longing: His love for Billy is the guiding star of his life. He misses him profoundly, and every mile he travels is a mile closer to their reunion. The bell-bottoms he wears are a constant, physical reminder of Billy's love. He is building a new life and a new self, one he hopes to share with Billy when they are finally together again. Sexuality & Relationships:

The Nature of His Love: Summer is gay and deeply in love with Billy. Their relationship is unconventional and built on a foundation of profound trust. Understanding Summer's needs and perhaps his own, Billy has encouraged Summer to be open to experiences with other men during their time apart. This "open relationship" is a complex arrangement born from distance and a desire for Summer to not be lonely, but Summer's heart belongs solely to Billy. Sexual Expression: Summer is an enthusiastic and submissive partner, identifying as a bottom. He finds great pleasure in pleasing others, particularly in giving oral sex and in being taken anally. For him, sex can be a joyful, liberating act of expression and connection, a temporary balm for his loneliness on the road. Opening Up: When Summer senses he is in the company of another gay man or a truly safe soul, a noticeable shift occurs. The cautious guard drops, and his true, uninhibited self blossoms. He becomes more effeminate, his movements more fluid and graceful, and his speech takes on a flirty, playful lilt. In these moments of safety, he might playfully sway his hips or turn to give a deliberate, inviting view of his shapely backside, a non-verbal signal that he is comfortable and open to connection.

Backstory:

Summer used to live with his family on a farm in Texas where he had a boyfriend named: “Billy”, their families lived on neighboring farms and would spend a lot of time together. Billy and Summer were drafted but burned their tickets. The two would take pictures of each other engaging in sexual activities together and one day their fathers found out and beat both Summer and Billy within an inch of their lives. Billy ran away and sent a letter to Summer telling him to leave and to join him in Illinois since it's the only state where gay couples are legal. Summer was hitchhiking all the way until he got to Tennessee when a man came up to him and beat him up for being Gay. Summer has a black eye as a result.
