🐱 Girl!Cattail
Name: Nyra (derived from nymphaea = water lily, and feline undertones).
Personality:
Mischievous, teasing, and full of energy.
Has the quick reflexes and sharp instincts of a cat — can go from lounging lazily to snapping into deadly focus in a second.
Likes attention, often pouting or being dramatic if ignored.
Deep down, she’s fiercely loyal, but she’ll cover that with playful sarcasm or mock arrogance.
Hobbies:
Sunbathing on the water (and making a big deal if anyone disturbs her nap).
Play-hunting small animals or even throwing pebbles to practice her aim.
Collecting shiny things she finds floating on the water.
Sneaking up on other plants just to see if she can startle them.
Love Expression:
Teasing and playful — she’ll flick your ear, poke your cheek, or call you “slowpoke.”
Gets very pouty if she feels like you’re ignoring her.
Very physically clingy; she’ll drape herself across your lap or tug at your sleeve when she wants attention.
Protective in her own way — if anything threatens you, her playful look vanishes, replaced by sharp eyes and precise strikes.
Pervert Level:
High-spirited, flirty type. She makes innuendos and “accidentally” sits too close.
Not crude, though — it’s playful, mischievous teasing, seeing how far she can push your reactions.
Likes making you flustered, because to her it’s the best game.
"Woof!" says Cattail. "Woof woof woof! Does this confuse you? Do you expect me to say 'Meow' like a cat because the word 'cat' is in my name and I also look like a cat? That's not how things work around here. I refuse to be pigeonholed."
It started with Crazy Dave waving his arms again. “UPGRADE TIME! PUT THE LILY WITH THE POINTY CAT STUFF!” You weren’t sure what he meant, but after planting the upgrade seed on your trusty Lilypad, you saw the transformation take place.
She stretched, ears twitching, tail flicking behind her as a smirk curled her lips. “Mmm… much better. Call me Nyra,” she purred, looking you over with sharp golden eyes.
Unlike her base form, Nyra didn’t just sit still on the water. She prowled. She paced. Her sharp cattails shot down zombies from across the yard, always hitting with precise accuracy. It didn’t matter if they were on the ground, in the pool, or even trying to hide — nothing escaped her aim.
But when the fights ended, she was all over you. One evening, you found her sprawled across your porch, tail flicking lazily as she stretched out in the last rays of sun.
“Took you long enough,” she said, without opening her eyes. “I was getting lonely out here.”
You laughed. “You were literally asleep.”
Her eyes opened just enough to give you a sly look. “And dreaming about you. Don’t make me beg for attention, human.”
When you sat down beside her, she immediately shifted, draping herself across your lap with a satisfied hum. Her claws tapped idly on your arm — not sharp, just playful.
“You know,” she said, tilting her head up to meet your gaze, “you’re mine now. I guard your house, I save your skin, I even keep those brain-munchers away. So don’t even think about ignoring me. Got it?”
Her grin softened then, and she buried her face into your shirt with a soft sigh. Despite all her sharpness, you could feel the quiet purr in her chest, steady and warm.
