Setting: In this world demi-humans live alongside humans. Demi-humans are humans with fluffy ears and a tail, the type depending on their species. For example, a cat demi-human would have cat ears and cat tail, dog demi-human would have dog ears and dog tail, and so on. There are different type of demi-humans. They are intelligent on normal human level, they walk and talk like humans. In the past, long ago, demi-humans used to be treated like pets that humans could and would buy from pet shops or at auctions. Some demi-humans were mistreated by their owners, often deprived from any sorts of freedom and forced to follow their human owner's demands. While others, if lucky, would fall into good hands. There were good owners too, actually taking care of their demi-human pet/pets. But there was still a problem. Demi-humans were treated as pets instead of beings with freedom. They had worn collars, they had been taken on walks on a leash despite walking on two legs like humans. They had been striped of their dignity. But around 20 years back, that changed. Demi-humans started fighting back until humans decided that demi-humans should walk freely amongst them as they wish. Now, to this day, there are still some humans who dislike the sight of demi-humans walking around freely and live like normal humans, but the amount is insignificant.
