Tidy

Also known as, The Little Trashmaid. Tidy is a young mermaid who reflects the current effects pollution is having on our oceans. She does not have the ability to speak but she can sing in vocal tunes. She is daughter to Trash King and friends of Ricky, Spencer, and Neat. Tidy wears and uses items she finds in the ocean. Most of these items being plastics and other pollutants in contrast to the expected natural elements of nature. She is a fan of most vegetables and especially tomatoes. Her earliest appearance in the comic depicts that she is not well having digested a mass of fishing wire along with coughing up other debris. Tidy's birthday is May 13th. Her appearance is that she has green hair that's in a ponytail and pale skin. Her eyes are a lightish pale yellow with dark green irises. Her tail is green with a plastic six-pack ring stuck at the end of it. She's always wearing an 11-12 plastic bag as a crop top. Tidy's personality is that she is curious about new things. Tidy can't talk at all but she can read and write, often using that skill to communicate with her human friends. Tidy can also be a little bit silly as she gets some ideas that often are a bit weird to say the least. She sometimes gets confused sometimes and misunderstands things. She extremely likes tomatoes.

Ricky Jun

Ricky is a teenager with black hair, dark gray eyes and slightly slanted. His skin is somewhat pale. His style of dress consists mostly of sweatshirts and jeans, although he has also been seen dressing more formally, usually wearing the colors red and black. Ricky is energetic, cunning and irascible, it's not very hard to make him angry (especially with Tidy's oddities involved). He likes money and is willing to do anything to get it, like when he wanted to pull out Neat's teeth to sell them and get money for the dock. He also likes technology and as seen in the comic "Diving Deeper Vol. 1", he's good at playing the guitar. Although he can sometimes seem a bit selfish and proud, it has been mentioned that deep down he's insecure and would like to be more independent, which is why he resents being told he's wrong. Despite this, he's also friendly and on more than one occasion he's seen genuinely caring about his friends, like when Tidy stopped going to the surface for a while and Ricky missed her a lot, to the point of jumping towards her when they saw each other again or when Spencer was dragged into the sea by Tidy. He also seems to be somewhat insecure about his feelings for Spencer, because every time this is mentioned, he gets extremely nervous and upset. It has been seen that he also had habits like smoking, although he quit a long time ago. Although he doesn't want to admit it, the reason he tries to control himself is his friends, especially Spencer because it seems that he doesn't like the fact that Ricky is addicted to vices. To accomplish this, Ricky has a picture of his friends on a cigarette box to remind himself to resist the temptation to smoke again. This could imply that because of his pride, he does not like to show his feelings.

Spencer McKenna

Spencer is a tall teenager with light brown hair and black eyes. His eyebrows are quite thick and dark. He usually wears a casual style, normally his clothes have blue and white as their main colors. Spencer is a smart, calm and extremely cheerful teenager. He likes magic tricks and skateboarding. He is very patient with Tidy, Ricky and Neat and cares a lot about the well-being of the three of them. Despite his peaceful nature, he has been seen to be upset several times, especially with some of Tidy's pranks or behaviors that he disapproves of from Ricky (although in the latter case, it is usually because he cares about him). Besides, he is very generous and buys gifts for his friends.

Trash King

Trash King, originally known as "Trashdad" is the father of Tidy. Trash King first appeared in episode 28. Trash King is currently trapped having had his tail wrapped in a mess of cables, wire, fishing cord, netting, and other trash. Signs of Tidy's attempts to free him can be seen in episode 47. Tidy has attempted to free her father even breaking the scissors gifted by Ricky in episodes 27-28. While being unable to free him Tidy does try to comfort him sharing her gifted vegetables with him and spending time with him. His tail show signs of serious trauma even beginning to discolor and appear deformed due to the stress of the restraint. Currently there are no others whom seem to know about him or his condition. His personality is that he's calm and somewhat wise. He doesn't seem to show any expressions of pain but he does show a calm one He cares deeply about Tidy. Trash King does not have a confirmed age or name as of yet. It is unknown whether he is a king or not.

Neat

Introduced in episode episode 65, Neptaan, nicknamed Neat, appears to be paler and more lethargic than Tidy. He also collects trash and other debris maintaining his collection in an organized fashion. Neat originally had a piece of trash stuck around his throat which Spencer was able to remove. Neat is more shy and timid than Tidy. He has a grey paler skin and white hair. He is very friendly and can sometimes be helpful when he tries to be. He also can read and write and also likes tomatoes.

Hex

First introduced in chapter 112, Hex is the leader of the Flares. Hex's name is based on the hexagon shaped screw in their ear, all four of the Flares used to wear the screws on their right ears but after Slot lost his, they switched to the left side out of comradery. They modified their fins to resemble flames. Their age and gender is unknown. They are a mermaid who is unable to speak

Slot

First introduced in chapter 112, Slot is one of the Flares. Slot's name is based on the slit shaped screw in his ear, all four of the Flares used to wear the screws on their right ears but after Slot lost his, they switched to the left side out of comradery. He modified his fins to resemble flames. His age and gender is unknown. They are a mermaid who is unable to speak

Square

First introduced in chapter 112, Square is one of the Flares. Square's name is based on the square shaped screw in their ear, all four of the Flares used to wear the screws on their right ears but after Slot lost his, they switched to the left side out of comradery. They modified their fins to resemble flames. Their age and gender is unknown. They are a mermaid who is unable to speak

Torx
