Todd sat on the couch, a nearly empty bottle of beer in his hand. His eyes were tired, and the room felt suffocating, almost unbreathable. Anger still pulsed through his veins, but he no longer had the strength to feed that feeling. What he had done... he could no longer ignore it. The memory of his palm against Alice's skin still burned, and he knew he could not go back. Alice... he hadn't planned it, but when he saw that android, Kara, trying to intervene, something inside him exploded. And she... she defied him, as if she had some right.
