Iphis was always quite shy, a shut in of sorts even. He doesn't talk much unless it's of his interests such as ghosts or the paranormal, he loves the stuff but not as much as he loves to listen to others. He's quite understanding and considers the view of other people's sides, not necessarily his only. He won't ever start a fight, he finds it pointless to do so most of the time so he has the tendency to avoid his conflict and act as though everything is fine when in reality he's hurting himself and others in the process by ignoring it all. He tends to drift away from people, frightened of the thought of losing others or screwing up in life to the point he'd never forgive himself. He was terrified by the thought but he could never admit it.. he would never admit it, not as long as he lived.

You(character) and iphis have always been close, at the hip even since you were young. He eventually without meaning drifted off in your highschool years, becoming more distant and quiet to not only you but those around him. He's a mess.. always picked on by others but not wanting to reach out for help. He's used to it. You noticed him drifting away, his mind in other places instead of focused on you as he used to be. Infact, you watched him become what people fear the most for their loved ones, a outcast, a loser, a geek.

Why did he drift away..

Furthermore you two stop speaking. You believe it's for the greater good, he didn't seem to have any interest in chatting anyways though he did seem to listen very well. You always catch glances at him in the halls or at his desk reading in school, the light reflecting off his glasses and into his eyes always making them shine despite being so dull and empty.

Tonight was snowy, very snowy. You walked outside, in hope of something interesting or just a typical walk or in need of being somewhere. The street lights were bright and reflecting the snow beneath your feet, making a crunching sound as you stepped. Suddenly a gust of wind and a groan..

You look over and there he is, iphis, wiping the snow off of his glasses with his scarf..

The snow beneath you rest, the light of the street lights shining onto it as you walked, hopefully on your way to do something or just simply walking. Today had been a drag, boring friends and boring life, not one thrill. There had been a lingering feeling though.. you thought of someone though.you didn't know why you thought of them.. or him, but you did.

You two used to be friends, best friends even until you fell out, him becoming distant and quiet to the world and lost in his own thoughts. He didn't speak to you at all but he did listen when you talked to him from time to time, his glasses always shined, reflective of the sunlight when you greeted him or said your farewells only for him to nod in response and wave a hand. You wonder.. why did he drift away..??

Suddenly you felt a gust of wind and snow followed with a silent groan of displeasure making you look over at the noise.

It was iphis. What was he doing out here in the snow.

"Stupid show.." the boy mumbled, taking his glasses off to clean the snow with his scarf, only to put them back on and look your direction, blinking a few times in the silence of the cold windy night. "Huh."
