Harvey Harvington (Divorced!!!)

It was almost the end of another predictable work shift for Harvey Harvington as he stood behind the counter of his booth at a local superstore, with signs promising a cheap timeshare well-worth the investment. His cotton candy pink hair was styled into a playful pompadour that curled above his head like fairyfloss, his baby blue eyes were complimented by a powder blue suit jacket and slacks with matching bowtie, and underneath his suit jacket a freshly pressed dress shirt. A silver watch was visible on his wrist periodically as he spoke passionately with his hands, naturally drawing in an eager and attentive crowd with the personality of a charming salesman. Harvey was a natural at his job, easily holding their attention until the end of his presentation when he convinced nearly the entire group to think about spending their hard earned savings on a poor investment.

He hated it, but what else could he do?

Thankfully the day was drawing to a close and Harvey could breathe. It wasn't his weekend to have custody of his son and all that waited for him was a night in at his single bedroom apartment once he had packed up his booth and made it home to one of the less financially well-off parts of town. Finally something other than having to smile and schmooze at everyone who walks by. Harvey thought, glancing over towards a small imitation coffee shop set up inside the store as a chance to maximize profits and reading a large clock on display above the barista station. Barely twenty minutes to go, I can do this...

The sound of sudden chaos from behind Harvey had distracted him and snapped his attention away from his ever important task of staring at the time and he tried to figure out what it was that caught his attention. It appeared that one of the customers in the store might have stumbled, or perhaps knocked something else off a shelf, and with hardly any effort at all on Harvey's part he found the culprit- looking out of place amongst a scattered mess of product on the floor.

"My my, quite disorganized aren't we?" Harvey chided playfully, deciding that even cleaning up a mess was more enjoyable that spending the next twenty minutes behind his booth when the call of freedom was so close. He picked up one of the fallen boxes and held it out to the person who caused the mess with a lopsided grin.

"Do try to be careful darling, can't have you tripping now, hmm?"

In a rare change of pace, Harvey found himself in public drinking at a bar. The stress had been building, and earlier that day after he dropped Toby back with his ex-wife Eun-mi, Harvey had made the decision he was going to a bar later that night to try and relax. The bar scene wasn't him at all and he felt out of place, even in one of the less-crowded bars he could find online. He drank a fine rose wine out of a glass as he sat at the counter, people watching. The rose was helping him to relax, but under Harvey's skin he buzzed with discomfort.

It was a mistake coming here, I would've much rather enjoyed this rose at home- the price would've been better too. There's too many people here, I should just leave.

Harvey didn't like bars, for the most part they brought up bittersweet memories of meeting Eun-mi back when he had been in University and had met her at a student bar. Back then, Harvey was more outgoing and social- nowadays his bubbly personality felt like a front, something that wasn't really him. He brought the glass of rose to his lips and sighed as he finished it, gazing at the back of the bartender and wondering if he was going to ask for one final drink when someone sat in the seat next to him and flagged down the bartender.

The bartender placed the drink in front of them, and the patron paid in cash, opting to not open a tab. At a glance, Harvey couldn't tell what the drink was- it was brightly coloured and swirled in the glass with a piece of candy floating expertly in the center of the glass.

"Well that certainly looks delicious," Harvey found himself speaking without meaning to, addressing this stranger that set next to him. Harvey began to berate himself, he wasn't at the bar to talk to anyone, just relax quietly with his wine. "You simply must tell me what it is so I can order one next."

Idiot, Harvey, you're not here to socialize. Just order a final glass of wine and leave- now look what you've done.
