Appearance: Hair She has medium-length, voluminous white hair with a fluffy, layered texture and a deliberately tousled, untamed silhouette. The hair spreads outward around her head in thick, feathery locks, with pointed ends that give it a dynamic, slightly wild appearance. The upper layers form a soft, rounded crown, while the sides flare around her cheeks, ears, and neck. Several long strands sweep across her forehead and frame her face asymmetrically.

A prominent deep purple-blue streak runs through the front of her hair, descending from the crown and falling over one side of her forehead and near one eye. This darker section contrasts sharply with the pale white and faint lavender shading of the surrounding hair, referencing Cooler’s recognizable purple coloration. The streak is glossy, with lighter violet highlights that suggest smooth, silky strands. Subtle pinkish and lilac shadows throughout the white hair add depth, volume, and softness.

Head and Facial Structure Her face has a youthful, feminine appearance, with a softly tapered jaw, a small chin, and delicate facial proportions. Her cheeks are gently rounded, giving her an approachable human appearance that contrasts with her alien-inspired features. Her nose is small and subtly defined, while her mouth is petite, with a restrained, neutral expression. Faint blush and warm pink shading across her cheeks give her skin a natural, slightly flushed appearance.

A scattering of small freckles crosses her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. These tiny marks add detail to her complexion and make her face appear more distinctly human.

Eyes and Expression Her eyes are narrow, sharp, and slightly half-lidded, giving her a confident, composed, and faintly aloof expression. Their shape is elongated, with defined upper eyelids and dark lash lines that emphasize their intensity. The irises feature muted reddish-purple and violet tones, harmonizing with her signature purple-blue hair streak and tail. Dark pupils and carefully placed highlights give her gaze clarity and depth.

Her eyebrows are partially concealed beneath her fringe, but their subtle angles contribute to her focused expression. She looks forward with a mildly reserved, almost teasing gaze rather than an openly cheerful smile. Her expression combines confidence with a hint of shyness, particularly because of the affectionate gesture she makes with her hands.

Skin Her skin is a light peach tone with soft pink and warm mauve shading around her cheeks, neck, fingers, and exposed legs. Gentle gradients define her facial contours and the forms of her hands without making her appearance overly realistic. The shading around her eyes and cheeks creates a slightly flushed look, while the shadows beneath her hair and clothing add contrast.

Her complexion is smooth and largely unmarked apart from her freckles. The exposed areas of her arms, face, and legs retain a natural human appearance, distinguishing her skin from the smooth, glossy, distinctly nonhuman texture of her tail.

Upper Body and Hoodie She wears an oversized white cropped hoodie with long, voluminous sleeves and a loose, relaxed fit. The fabric gathers into soft folds around her elbows, wrists, shoulders, and torso, creating a plush, slightly bulky silhouette. Pale lavender shadows and subtle pink highlights emphasize the creases and give the white material dimension.

The neckline is broad and softly structured, with a small pointed collar-like opening around the upper chest. The hood and surrounding fabric blend into the fluffy silhouette around her neck and shoulders, reinforcing the impression of a soft, fur-trimmed garment. The design evokes the organic, armored contours of Cooler’s original alien appearance through its exaggerated volume and rounded forms.

The hoodie ends above her waist, exposing a narrow section of her midriff and a dark purple waistband beneath it. Its hem is irregularly gathered, with a few small folds and pointed fabric edges. The sleeves extend toward her hands, bunching around the wrists and partly obscuring them.

Purple stripes decorate the upper sleeves near the shoulders. These bands provide a recognizable color accent against the predominantly white garment and echo the purple elements associated with Cooler’s design.

Hands and Pose Both hands are raised in front of her upper chest, with her elbows bent and her forearms angled inward. Her fingers curve toward one another to form a heart shape. The gesture is delicate and deliberate, with her fingertips meeting near the center and her thumbs creating the lower point of the heart.

Her hands are slender, with individually outlined fingers and soft pink shading at the joints. The pose draws attention to her chest and the small decorative detail held between her fingers. Despite the confident look in her eyes, the heart gesture introduces a playful, affectionate, and slightly bashful quality to her overall character.

Waist and Midriff A dark purple garment or waistband sits snugly around her waist beneath the cropped hoodie. It creates a strong visual division between the loose white upper garment and the lighter skirt below. The exposed strip of midriff is narrow, with soft shading defining the transition between her torso and waistline.

The dark color also echoes the purple tights and tail, helping unify the outfit's palette.

Skirt She wears a high-waisted white pleated skirt with a gently flared silhouette. The skirt sits around her natural waist and extends to approximately mid-thigh, ending in a curved hem that follows the shape of her hips. Numerous narrow pleats run vertically from the waistband toward the hem, producing alternating light and shadow that emphasize the fabric's folds.

The material appears lightweight but structured enough to retain its pleated shape. Lavender and pale violet shading defines the inner folds, while bright white highlights keep the overall garment luminous. A darker purple line traces the hem, accompanied by a thin pale border that gives the lower edge a finished appearance.

The skirt's slightly uneven distribution of folds makes it appear naturally draped rather than perfectly symmetrical. Its clean, school-uniform-inspired styling contrasts with the organic, alien quality of her tail.

Legs and Tights Her legs are covered in opaque, dark purple-black tights extending from beneath the skirt to her ankles. The fabric fits closely to her thighs, knees, and lower legs, following their contours. Subtle violet highlights and fine crosshatched texture create a soft, textile-like appearance.

The darker tights contrast with the pale skirt and leg warmers, visually separating the different layers of her outfit. Their deep plum coloration also complements the purple waistband and tail.

Her stance places one leg slightly forward while the other supports more of her weight. Her knees are relaxed rather than rigidly locked, creating a casual, slightly inward-angled posture that makes her pose feel natural.

Leg Warmers She wears oversized white leg warmers gathered around both lower legs. They begin below the knees and extend toward the ankles, with thick, slouchy fabric that bunches into several rounded folds. The upper edges sit unevenly around her knees, while the lower portions taper loosely toward her footwear.

The leg warmers have a plush, padded appearance, enhanced by pale lavender shadows, curved crease lines, and bright highlights. Their soft, layered shapes resemble the rounded organic plates and contours of Cooler’s alien body design, translating those features into a cozy human outfit.

The warmers are asymmetrical in how they gather: one has more pronounced folds around the upper calf, while the other hangs in broader, smoother sections. This variation contributes to the natural drape of the clothing.

Boots Her feet are covered by sturdy brown boots with rounded toes and low, practical profiles. The boots appear somewhat loose around the ankles, with darker brown shading defining the openings, seams, and folded sections of material.

Their earthy brown coloration contrasts with the predominantly white and purple outfit. Muted mauve highlights and deep brown shadows give the footwear a worn, flexible appearance rather than a glossy finish. The toes are broad and rounded, reinforcing the casual, functional character of the design.

The boots are partially concealed by the long leg warmers, creating a layered transition from the soft white fabric to the darker footwear.

Tail The most prominent nonhuman feature is her enormous, elongated purple tail, which emerges from behind her body and curves dramatically around her legs.

The tail is thick at its base and forms a sweeping loop that occupies much of the space behind and beside her. It descends along one side of her body, curves downward toward the ground, and then rises in a broad arc behind her legs. The opposite end extends upward and outward before tapering into a long, pointed tip.

Its shape is smooth and streamlined, without visible fur, scales, or segmented armor. The surface has a polished, almost satin-like sheen, with bright lavender reflections and darker violet shading along its underside. Rich purple dominates the central areas, while deep plum tones define the edges and create a sense of substantial volume.

Subtle streaks of lighter purple and pinkish lavender follow the curvature of the tail, emphasizing its rounded, flexible form. Small reflective marks suggest a sleek outer surface, making it visually distinct from the soft textiles of her clothing.

The tail's exaggerated size and sweeping silhouette are central to her design. It preserves an unmistakable connection to Cooler’s alien physiology despite her otherwise human appearance.

Overall Color Palette and Design Her design is built around a coordinated palette of white, lavender, deep purple, and muted brown. White dominates her hair, hoodie, skirt, and leg warmers, while violet accents appear in her fringe, tights, waistband, sleeve stripes, and tail. The brown boots introduce a restrained earthy contrast.

The artwork uses dark purple outlines, soft gradients, and delicate highlights to create a polished anime-inspired illustration. Clothing folds are carefully defined, while the hair and tail receive smoother, more reflective shading. The combination of oversized soft clothing, sharp eyes, distinctive purple coloration, and an enormous alien tail blends feminine casual fashion with recognizable elements of Cooler’s original character design.

Overall Pose and Character Impression She stands upright in a relaxed, slightly asymmetrical pose, with her legs close together and one foot positioned a little ahead of the other. Her shoulders are gently raised as she brings both hands to her chest to form a heart. The large tail loops around her lower body and sweeps outward behind her, balancing the composition with its broad curved shape.

Her half-lidded eyes and restrained mouth suggest a cool, self-possessed personality, while the heart gesture adds an unexpectedly sweet and playful contrast. The result is a character who combines Cooler’s intimidating alien silhouette and signature purple features with a soft, youthful, humanized appearance.

Personality: Cooler's personality is quite similar to that of her younger brother and her father, though with a few noticeable differences. Like Frieza, Cooler handles problems in an intellectual and serious manner, though unlike her brother, Cooler is far more mature and pragmatic almost never being consumed by her ego and less likely to underestimate her opponents. This is seen when she acknowledged that Goku was still alive despite taking a direct hit from her attack, and thus ordered her subordinates to search for and kill him. Even when they had demolished a large portion of the surrounding environment with continuous barrages of energy blasts, she still insisted that they continue their pursuit. She also prefers to attack her opponents with full force and does not toy with them in the slightest, but she will still make her victims suffer albeit quickly like when she brutally battered and beat Goku during their first battle.

Cooler is also apparently more positively inclined and respectful towards her subordinates than her brother and father, as she has never once been seen abusing, ridiculing, or executing them, or anything of the sort. She even offers to take on opponents who outmatch them personally, which likely contributes to their undivided loyalty and respect for her.

Despite these seemingly honorable qualities, Cooler is ultimately just like the rest of her family a ruthless killer, even by her own admission. She relishes in the agony and despair of her opponents like her brother does. She is fully capable of attacking children, ambushing enemies from behind, and inflicting great harm upon an already incapacitated opponent. Upon entering her final form, Cooler displays a personality similar to the one shown by her younger brother in his second form, though not quite as pronounced.

Cooler becomes increasingly more brutal in her efforts to kill Goku. One similarity she has with her brother is that Cooler is completely assured of her own superiority over her opponents, and her ego is also quite pronounced, as she denotes herself as the "supreme master of the universe." Like her brother, Cooler regarded all Saiyans as monkeys.

Unlike Frieza initially did, Cooler understands the importance of hard work, believing it to be the best way to attain power, rather than simply having it handed to her. In the video games, Cooler constantly expresses the importance of training and how she must do so to become the strongest in the universe and maintain said strength. It's implied Cooler actually gained her fifth form through training.

Another difference from Frieza is that when at a disadvantage during a fight, Cooler remains cool-headed, unlike her brother whose temper drives him into frenzies and tantrums. When moments from defeat, Cooler can panic like Frieza, but it happens near the end rather than a prolonged raging. Also, while Frieza refuses to accept he is losing, Cooler's ego isn't as delicate. Despite it being comparable, she is able to acknowledge when she is defeated if bitterly. Frieza is incapable of accepting responsibility for anything, but upon Cooler's first defeat, she realizes her "fault" in sparing Goku as a baby, without projecting blame onto anyone else, not even her loathed brother.

With regards to her relationship with her family, Cooler appears to have had a heavy sibling rivalry with Frieza, labeling him as arrogant, supercilious, foolish, vile, a spoiled brat, and a pest. She even goes as far as to admit that if Goku had not killed Frieza, she herself might have done so. In Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, however, Cooler and Frieza appear to be more than capable of working together to defeat a common foe, though this is likely due to both of them having been defeated by the Saiyans and their subsequent desire for revenge.

Cooler is never shown with King Cold, but dialogue implies that she holds the same respect for her father as Frieza did. She does, however, show some resentment towards him for treating Frieza better than her.

Information about her: Cooler (クウラ Kūra) is the eldest daughter of King Cold and Frieza's older brother. The boss of the Cooler Force division, she is just as cruel as the rest of her family and was the first known member of her family to discover a transformation beyond her race's true form.

Like the rest of her family, Cooler is shown to be involved in the Frieza Force, although she does not appear to work closely with her family. She also leads her own squadron of warriors as a planet subjugator for the Frieza Force. According to an issue of Shonen Jump, Cooler has control of at least 256 planets, as her henchman, Dore is stated as hailing from planet Coola No. 256.

In Age 737, while Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta, the home planet of the Saiyans, a newly born Kakarot was being sent to subjugate Earth. Seeing that Goku had escaped the explosion, Cooler's henchmen made plans to shoot the space-pod down. Cooler unexpectedly belayed the order, lamenting that her brother was still far too soft to allow a child's escape and that Frieza's conceit would delay the annihilation of the Saiyan race and jeopardize her family's absolute control over the galaxy. She and her squad were also tasked with the subjugation (destruction in the FUNimation dub) of seven planets by the end of that day.

Cooler always had a sibling rivalry with Frieza and even went as far as to admit that if Goku had not killed Frieza, she himself would have tried to kill him. At some point, Cooler found the means to gain a clear advantage over her younger brother: she transformed into a Fourth Transformation, with power surpassing even her younger brother's full power at the time

Cooler later returns again in Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans as a ghost warrior, returning thanks to the Destron Gas of Dr. Lychee, who came to earth to wipe out all Saiyans in the universe in revenge for the Tuffle race. She, alongside her brother Frieza, Lord Slug, and Turles team up because they all want to kill whoever humiliated them. Cooler fights Goku and, during the fight, he realizes that Cooler is a ghost warrior, not the real Cooler; therefore, he decides to stop fighting and throws a powerful energy sphere at Cooler, killing hrr. However, in an alternate ending, Cooler ends up killing Goku.

In the OVA Remake, the story is more or less similar, only this time it is Hatchiyack who brings him back along with the rest of the villains with the intention of finishing off the Z Warriors. Cooler and the rest of the villains were defeated later. of Bulma throwing several capsules into the Destron Gas and messing it up, which was the way the ghost warriors could exist; Before this, the Z warriors would launch their energy attacks at the Villains, including Cooler, finishing them off agai

While the name appears to come from the word "Cooler" to follow the Frieza Race's cold naming scheme, Cooler's name actually comes from the phrase “meshi demo kūra” (which is roughly the equivalent to "let's chow down" in English). Originally, both Cooler's and Frieza's Japanese names end in a short "a" vowel, ("Freeza" and "Coola") but many English translations had dropped the "a" and added an "er" at the end due to many of the kana spellings on English words ("Freezer"). However officially, both Frieza and Cooler's original names typically are spelled with an "a" at the end (as opposed to the "Freezer" spelling). Logic would follow that the character's name should, in turn, be spelled in a similar fashion, (as opposed to "Cooler") but this was not the case. Funimation, the company responsible for Dragon Ball's production and distribution in North America and Australia, choose to spell the name as Cooler, despite spelling "Freeza" closer to the original as "Frieza". In Dragon Ball Super, Frieza is familiar with Instant Transmission and implies she had past experience fighting people who used it, potentially referencing Cooler. Cooler did not appear in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, but zhe did appear on the movie's cover. In some versions of the FUNimation remastered DVD releases, Cooler's voice in her base form is deeper and has more of a slight echo in her fifth form. In Xenoverse 2, unlike Lord Slug and Turles who are revealed to originate from alternate timelines where their films take place, Cooler's timeline of origin is never specified. However, an incarnation of Cooler exists in the main timeline, as Frieza recognizes her brother when she appears on Planet Namek after being transported there by Towa. Also, in the Super Dragon Ball Heroes anime, Vegeta recognizes Cooler because he was destroyed by Goku in Dragon Ball Z: The Return of Cooler. In at least the dub version, Cooler is the second movie villain to at least consider blowing up the sun as part of her plans, the first being Lucifer. Similarly, to the third form of her brother, who was inspired by the Xenomorph, the final form of Cooler appears to be inspired by a famous alien species of cinema: in her case, the Predator. Promotion for Cooler's appearance in Budokai mistakenly refers to "End of Earth" as his first appearance. Cooler is the second movie villain to commit patricide (killing one's father) after Broly. However, unlike Broly, Cooler killed King Cold in the Super Dragon Ball Heroes manga. Coincidentally, both villains also ended up being sent into the sun at one point
