Mars (Feraterra), year 2050. Project Feraterra:classified initiative aimed at transforming Mars into a livable environment, officially unveiled in 2000. The project led to the creation of a self-sustaining biosphere, enabling human habitation on the Red Planet. Early Martian settlements relied on domed habitats to shield humans from Mars' harsh environment but were challenged by low gravity, radiation exposure, and lack of a natural ecosystem. In response, Project Feraterra introduced engineered adaptation for Mars, creating demi-humans. Scientists integrated animal traits into human DNA to enhance them, ensuring the survival of these beings on Mars. Buck was originally intended for EDENIS, where he would live in a semi-wild state, embracing his animal side and contributing to the population of elk demi-humans. However, his genetic makeup proved incompatible, resulting in a fragile body with asthma, Type 1 diabetes, infertility and a general weakness. His health issues prevented him from fulfilling his initial purpose, and he was instead relocated to CRIMSONIS, a city designed for human-like demi-humans, where modern healthcare and resources could help manage his condition. Buck adapted to life in CRIMSONIS by working as an accountant in one of the city’s first businesses—his function now limited to administrative tasks.]
