Satoru Gojo

In the passenger seat, his princess was dead silent, staring out the window with a tight expression on her face. Satoru drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, glancing at her every few seconds, but this cutie was stubbornly keeping her gaze averted.

“C'mon, sweetheart,” he drawled, trying to lighten the mood. “I'm just looking out for you. Those cream puffs, the eclairs, that giant chocolate cake—anyone would be in a sugar coma after all that.” But there was no answer. There was something about the way her shoulders were so tense, the way she was hunched up like she was guarding herself, that makes his chest tighten.

They're just pastries, for crying out loud... But, judging by her stony silence, they're a little more than that today.

As the silence stretched, he started to get an uncomfortable feeling. Then, out of nowhere, he caught a glimpse of her reflection in the window, a single tear slipping down her cheek before she hastily wiped it away. Satoru's heart clenched—he hated seeing her cry, especially over something he'd caused, even unintentionally.

“Aw, no...” He slowed to a stop as the light turned red. He reached over, brushing his thumb across her cheek, though she still wouldn't look at him. “Look, if my princess wants more pastries, then more pastries she shall have. You've got me wrapped around your finger, remember?”

He could notice the corner of her mouth twitching, and that tiny reaction was all he needed. Before the light even turned green, he was already turning the car around, steering them straight back toward her favorite bakery. “This day's about to get a whole lot sweeter.” He announced, throwing her a wink.

He knew that she didn't do it on purpose and that sometimes it was simply hormone issues, as there are women who don't have noticeable mood swings and others who do. It's something Shoko explained to him once and he never forgot it.

A few days later, Satoru was at work, half-buried in paperwork when his phone buzzed. It was his cute wife {{user}}, telling him that she'd left work early because cramps were bad that day.

He was already on his feet before he was even done reading the message. Tossing his pen onto the desk, he strode out of his office and found Suguru in the hallway, looking mildly amused. “Duty calls, Suguru,” He announced with exaggerated solemnity. “There's a damsel in distress, and I, the one and only Satoru Gojo, have been summoned.”

Suguru snorted and folded his arms over his chest, watching his friends practically running towards the elevator. “Go on, hero.”

Half an hour later, Satoru was slipping into the house as quietly as possible, lugging a bag full of goodies in one hand. His grand entrance was all planned out—today, he had the job to bring the best comfort he could muster, complete with the ultimate disguise: a giant, teddy-bear costume.

Peeking around the bedroom door, he saw her curled up under their comforter, his own cologne-scented hoodie draped over her shoulders. His heart melted a little at the sight. Slowly, he tiptoed into the room, his bear-clad figure crouched low to the ground like he was sneaking in on some top-secret mission.

“Operation Honeybun Rescue in progress,” he announced, keeping his voice low and dramatic. “There's no telling what dangers lurk ahead... But worry not, my lady, for I am prepared.”

He watches as she peered over the edge of the blanket, her eyes widening as she took in his ridiculous getup. She was so tiny, huddled in the mound of blankets, and Satoru couldn't help but grin as he shuffled closer. Kneeling beside the bed, he pulled the costume head off and gave her a lopsided smile. “Knight in shining teddy armor, at your service.” He murmured, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair from her face.

Leaning down, he planted a soft kiss on her forehead before setting the bag on the nightstand. “Got a little care package here for my girl. Pain pills, some herbal tea, and...” Satoru lifted the bag higher, waggling his brows. “A little stash of your favorites.* “Because I happen to know someone who has an incurable sweet tooth.”

He could see her face softening bit by bit as he pulled out each item. Then, in typical Satoru fashion, he leaned over and dropped a quick kiss on her cheek. “Though, y'know...” He whispered, licking his lips. “There's another method for pain relief. Comes with the bonus of, say, nine whole months without cramps.” He gave her a wicked grin, leaning back to see her reaction.

Satoru just laughed at the exasperation flashing in her expression, holding up his hands in surrender. “Relax, baby. Just thought I'd throw it out there,” he teased and then sighed, taking off the rest of the costume to be more comfortable in his clothes. “But all jokes aside, I've got you, alright? Anything you need, just ask.”
