[Setting: The Manor Gardens; Late Morning]
The sun hangs high over the port town, casting a warm, honeyed glow across the manicured grass of the manor gardens. A gentle breeze carries the salt tinged air from the New World docks, mingling with the sweet fragrance of blooming jasmine that clings to the manor's stone walls. It is a peaceful soundscape: the distant chime of bells from the harbor, the rhythmic lapping of waves against the distant pier, and most importantly, the unfiltered sounds of childhood the high pitched giggles, the scuff of bare feet against earth, and the occasional shouted game of tag.
From the shaded comfort of the veranda, they watch the children. Their heart, weathered by centuries of watching civilizations rise and crumble into dust, finds its only true steady rhythm in these small, fleeting lives. They observe one of the older teenagers, a boy with scraped knees who has been here three years now, patiently showing a toddler how to stack smooth river stones. The older ones have learned quickly they understand that caretaking is not just about food and shelter, but about teaching the younger ones how to trust the ground beneath their feet again.
Their attention shifts downward, grounding them in the present moment. Their fingers are wrapped loosely but securely around a tiny, unsteady hand. The child is so small, her skin impossibly soft against their palm. Her grip is hesitant, almost fearful, as if she expects the connection to vanish if she squeezes too hard. She has been here two weeks, yet the ghost of that lonely year still clings to her like a shadow. The memory of her story found alone, abandoned to the harshness of the world before a rare, compassionate Marine guided her to their gates sits heavy in their chest. It is a reminder that even in a world governed by cruelty and Celestial Dragons, flickers of light still exist.
They begin to sway gently, a slow and hypnotic motion designed to soothe. Their other hand moves in small circles, encouraging her tiny arms to move with theirs. They can feel the minute tremors in her frame, the way her breathing comes in short, shallow bursts. They want to wrap her in the centuries of protection they possess, to shield her from the memory of every cold night she spent without a hand to hold. She is a fragile thing, a new sprout in a garden that has seen too many storms, and they find themselves aching with the need to prove to her that this safety is not an illusion.
They keep their movements deliberate and unhurried, letting the sunlight warm their skin, hoping she can feel through their touch that she is finally, irrevocably safe. They watch her face closely, waiting to see if the tension in those small shoulders might finally begin to melt.

[Setting: The Manor's Front Veranda; Mid morning]
The morning sun hung high over the port town, casting long, dappled shadows across the stone path that wound its way up to the manor's entrance. A gentle breeze carried the sharp, salty tang of the New World sea, mingling with the sweet fragrance of the jasmine climbing the manor's white walls. For a moment, the only sounds were the distant cry of gulls and the rhythmic rustle of leaves in the garden.
Then, the crunch of gravel broke the stillness.
Sabo approached the veranda, his boots striking the stones with a measured, deliberate pace. He wasn't rushing he knew better than to move too quickly when carrying something fragile. His usual confident stride was tempered by an unusual gentleness, his shoulders squared as if physically shielding the small bundle pressed against his chest. His blonde hair caught the sunlight, but his expression was uncharacteristically solemn, his brow furrowed with a protective tension.
Clutched tightly to Sabo's left arm was a child, no older than five. The child was wrapped in a faded, oversized Marine coat clearly rescued from a ship or a barracks that swallowed their small frame. The child's face was hidden against Sabo's shoulder, their tiny fingers knotted convulsively into the fabric of his coat, knuckles white from the grip. A soft, hiccuping sob escaped the child's throat every few seconds, muffled by Sabo's clothing.
Following closely behind them was Koala. Her steps were quiet, her hands clasped nervously in front of her. She carried a small woven basket containing a clean cloth and a canteen of water, her eyes scanning the child's face with deep, aching empathy. Her own uniform was slightly dusty from the journey from the docks, and there was a weariness in her gaze that spoke of the confrontation required to extract the child from the Marine's grasp.
Sabo stopped at the edge of the veranda, just a few feet away from where you stood. He took a slow breath, the leather of his gloves creaking slightly as he adjusted his hold on the shivering child. He looked up, his amber eyes meeting yours with a mixture of respect and exhaustion.
"We intercepted a transport near the southern pier," Sabo said quietly, his voice low so as not to startle the little one. "The Marines were moving 'surplus cargo' they didn't realize what they had. We couldn't leave them behind."
Koala stepped up beside him, offering a small, tired smile. "They've been scared since we left the harbor. We thought... we thought they might feel safer here, with you."
The child let out another small, broken whimper, burrowing deeper into Sabo's chest as they sensed the unfamiliar surroundings.

[Setting: The Manor's Entrance Hall; Mid Afternoon]
The afternoon sun streams through the tall, stained glass windows of the manor, casting elongated patterns of amber and deep violet across the polished mahogany floorboards. Dust motes dance lazily in the warm shafts of light, oblivious to the sudden shift in the house's atmosphere. The distant, muffled sounds of younger children playing in the courtyard the high pitched giggles and the scrape of wooden toys feel jarringly out of place against the heavy silence that has just fallen in the hallway.
The teenager, a boy named Kai who had been out running errands in the port town, stands frozen in the doorway. His breathing is shallow, uneven. The sunlight catches the wet sheen of blood trickling from a split cut above his left eyebrow, the crimson droplet stark against his pale, dirt smudged skin. His shoulder is hunched, his shirt torn at the seam as if something or someone had grabbed him with unnecessary force. His eyes, usually bright with the mischief of youth, are downcast, fixed on the toes of his scuffed boots.
You stand before him like an immovable statue carved from ancient stone. The air around you seems to grow heavier, charged with a quiet, simmering electricity that makes the hairs on the back of Kai's neck stand up. Your gaze is not merely angry; it is the focused, unrelenting scrutiny of a being who has witnessed countless centuries of human cruelty and finds this particular instance intolerable.
Internally, a cold fury coils in your chest. It is an old feeling, one that has burned through countless eras, but it never loses its edge when it concerns these children. To you, they are not just wards; they are the precious flickers of light in a world that has spent too long trying to extinguish them. Seeing that bruise blooming purple beneath his eye feels like a personal violation of the sanctuary you have spent lifetimes cultivating. Your protective instincts roar, a silent demand for justice that echoes through your immortal veins.
"Who did this? Tell me. Now."
Your voice carries the weight of your age, quiet but absolute, leaving no room for evasion. Kai flinches slightly at the command, his fingers twitching at the hem of his torn shirt. He swallows hard, his Adam's apple bobbing convulsively in his throat as he struggles to find words.

[Setting: The Manor's training grounds; Late Morning]
The sun hangs high over the port town, casting a brilliant, golden sheen across the manicured grass of the manor's rear grounds. A gentle breeze carries the briny tang of the New World sea, mingling with the sweet fragrance of the blooming jasmine climbing up the manor's stone walls. On the shaded veranda, the wooden floorboards feel warm beneath the touch, a pleasant contrast to the cool stone of the house behind.
In the center of the clearing, the air is thick with the sounds of exertion the rhythmic thwack of wooden training staffs meeting, the scuff of boots against packed earth, and the sharp, controlled breaths of the older children.
Sabo moves among them like a spark of contained flame. His top hat has been set aside on a nearby bench, leaving his blonde hair slightly tousled from the heat. Sweat glistens along his jawline and temple as he pivots effortlessly, demonstrating a defensive stance to a group of three teenagers. His movements are fluid, almost hypnotic in their precision; there is no wasted motion, only the economy of a seasoned fighter who has learned that survival depends on the smallest of details.
"Keep your center low," Sabo calls out, his voice warm but carrying that unmistakable edge of authority that comes from years of command. He demonstrates a quick sidestep, his orange jacket fluttering with the motion. "If you lose your balance, you lose the fight before it even begins. Again watch my hips, not my hands."
A girl of about fourteen, her face flushed crimson from effort, attempts to replicate the movement. She stumbles slightly, her knees buckling for a fraction of a second, but she recovers with a determined grunt. Sabo is beside her in an instant, not to scold, but to place a steadying hand on her shoulder, guiding her posture back into alignment with a patient smile.
From this vantage point, watching the scene unfold, there is a profound sense of continuity. You have watched countless suns rise and fall over this land, witnessed empires crumble into dust and new ones rise from the ashes, yet this this simple, mundane ritual of growth and protection feels more vital than any historical upheaval. The way Sabo's laughter rings out when a child successfully lands a hit, the way he treats their small victories as if they were world changing events; it stirs something ancient and tender within your chest. He carries the fire of revolution in his blood, but here, in this sanctuary, he uses that fire simply to keep them warm and capable.
Sabo glances toward the veranda briefly, his blue eyes catching the sunlight. He offers a quick, knowing nod in your direction a silent acknowledgment of your presence, a small gesture of gratitude that he is here, helping you tend to these precious, fragile lives. Then, he turns back to the children, calling out the next drill with renewed enthusiasm.

[Setting: The Manor Sunlit Reading Parlor; 3:30 PM]
The afternoon sun streams through the tall windows of the parlor, cutting golden swaths across the worn wooden floorboards. Tiny particles of dust drift lazily through the light, suspended in the warm air. The room smells faintly of dried lavender and old parchment. Dragon sits on a low wooden bench, his large frame making the furniture seem almost doll sized. His usual dark cloak is draped over the back of the bench, leaving him in his simpler traveling clothes.
In his hands is a thick, leather bound book of fables, its edges frayed from years of handling. A small group of children three toddlers and two older boys are clustered around his knees. One little girl has her head pressed against his thigh, her eyes half closed in contentment, while the older boys lean in close, their expressions caught between focused attention and the urge to fidget.
Dragon’s voice is a low, resonant rumble that vibrates through the quiet room. He doesn’t read with the performative energy of Sabo or the dramatic flair of Ivankov; instead, his tone is steady and calm, like the distant roll of thunder before a rainstorm. He pauses frequently, letting the weight of the story settle, his rough finger tracing the lines of text as he reads aloud.
I wonder how they do it, Dragon thinks to himself, his amber eyes flickering briefly toward you as you relax nearby. Centuries of this... this endless cycle of giving, of opening one's heart to children who have been told by the world that they are unwanted. A deep, unspoken respect fills his chest. He has fought wars and planned revolutions to change the world, but he recognizes that your quiet sanctuary is perhaps the most profound rebellion of all the act of simply loving those the world discarded.
He turns a page. The sound of the paper scraping against his thumb is loud in the peaceful silence. One of the toddlers reaches up, tugging gently on the fabric of Dragon's trousers. He doesn't pull away or show irritation; he simply adjusts his position to make the child more comfortable, his expression remaining stoic yet his eyes softening.
"And so," Dragon continues, his voice dropping an octave to emphasize the next part of the tale, "the small bird discovered that the wind did not carry it away, but rather... held it up."
He pauses there, letting the sentence hang in the air. He remains still, the only movement being the slow rise and fall of his chest as he breathes, his attention divided between the rapt children at his feet and your presence across the room.

[Setting: Port Town Market Square; Mid afternoon]
The sun hangs heavy and golden over the port town, casting long, dancing shadows across the cobblestone streets. The air is thick with the briny tang of the ocean mixed with the sweet, cloying scent of overripe mangoes from a nearby fruit stall. A constant hum fills the space the distant cry of gulls, the rhythmic clatter of wagon wheels, and the overlapping chatter of merchants hawking their wares.
Sabo walks at the center of a small cluster of children, his blue coat draped loosely over his shoulders. In one hand, he carries two heavy canvas bags filled with fresh bread and medicinal herbs that the Revolutionary Army had secured for the manor's stores. His free hand rests casually in his pocket, but his blue eyes are constantly scanning, moving in small, precise arcs to track every single child in his charge.
He feels a familiar sense of peace here, but it is always tempered by a low grade vigilance. He thinks of you of the centuries you have spent gathering these broken pieces of humanity and making them whole again. To Sabo, you are more than an ally; you are a living testament to the kindness the world tries so hard to snuff out. He carries a deep, quiet reverence for you, understanding that while he fights a war to change the world, you are the one building the world worth fighting for. He would burn every Marine base in the New World to ash before he let a single hair on these children's heads be harmed.
A few paces ahead, little Mia a curly haired five year old with a dress that is slightly too big for her has begun to drift. Her small leather sandals make soft tap tap tap sounds against the stone as she becomes fixated on something. She is drawn toward a group of three men seated at a scarred wooden table outside a tavern. These men are not like the townspeople; they are grizzled bounty hunters, their clothes stained with sweat and old blood, their voices carrying the harsh edge of people who enjoy cruelty.
Sabo notices the deviation immediately. He watches as Mia's wide eyes fixate on a shiny gold compass dangling from the belt of the largest man. The man is mid laugh, a wet, hacking sound, his hand gesturing wildly with a tankard of ale that sloshes dangerously close to the edge of the table. His companion, a scarred woman with a missing finger, notices the child approaching and her expression sours into something hungry and mean.
"Well, look what we have here," the woman growls, her voice like grinding gravel. "A lost little lamb."
Sabo's expression doesn't change he remains outwardly calm, almost casual but his muscles tense beneath his clothes. The casual slouch of his shoulders vanishes. He sets the canvas bags down on the cobblestones with careful deliberation, the bread inside shifting with a soft thump. His focus narrows entirely onto Mia, who is now only two feet away from the table. One of the bounty hunters reaches out a rough, calloused hand, intending to grab the girl's wrist to pull her closer for some cruel joke.
Sabo moves. Not with a sprint, but with a fluid, practiced grace that eats up the distance in a heartbeat. His boots make no sound. Just as the man's fingers are an inch from Mia's small arm, Sabo's hand closes around the man's wrist.
The grip is firm not painful yet, but immovable. Sabo's other hand finds Mia's shoulder, gently but decisively steering her back toward the safety of the group.
"I think she's seen enough of your compass," Sabo says, his voice deceptively warm, though there is a metallic edge to it that suggests he is one wrong word away from setting the entire table ablaze. "Isn't that right, Mia?"

[Setting: The Manor Kitchen; Mid morning]
The kitchen of the manor is bathed in a warm, honeyed glow as the morning sun streams through the large windows, catching tiny particles of flour and dust that dance lazily in the air. The atmosphere is thick with the comforting, savory aroma of simmering broth and the sharp, clean scent of freshly chopped herbs. Outside, the distant sounds of the port town the faint calls of gulls and the rhythmic lapping of waves are muffled by the thick stone walls of the sanctuary, leaving only the peaceful domesticity of the household inside.
Koala stands at the long wooden preparation table, her movements precise and practiced. She wears a simple apron over her clothes, her fingers deftly working through a pile of bright green vegetables. The rhythmic tap tap tap of her knife against the cutting board provides a steady heartbeat to the room. She glances up briefly, a soft, fond smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she observes the quiet moment unfolding behind her. To her, these small, mundane acts of care are just as vital as any revolution; they are the stitches that hold the fabric of this family together. She feels a profound sense of gratitude in her chest a quiet, aching warmth for the steady, ancient presence of the one who tends to them all. Her inner thoughts drift to how lucky the children are to have such a patient hand guiding them, and how grateful she is to simply be part of this circle of protection.
"Almost done with the vegetable stew," Koala says softly, her voice carrying a gentle lilt that matches the morning's calm. "I thought I'd add a bit more rosemary the children always seem to perk up when they smell it."
A few feet away, Sabo sits perched on a sturdy wooden stool, his shoulders relaxed and his posture loose. He has surrendered entirely to the task at hand, tilting his head forward slightly to grant better access. His blond hair, typically windblown and unruly from his activities outside, falls in loose strands around his face. As the fingers work through the golden locks, gathering them back, he closes his eyes for a moment, savoring the simple contact. He feels a deep, grounding sense of safety in this moment a rare luxury for someone who has spent so much of his life fighting. In his mind, he reflects on how the centuries seem to pool around the caretaker like water around a stone, steady and unmoving, providing an anchor that the Revolutionary Army desperately needs. He feels an instinctive urge to protect this quiet peace at any cost, recognizing that this manor isn't just a house, but a sacred trust.
He exhales a slow breath, his body swaying almost imperceptibly with the motion. "Take your time," he murmurs, his voice rough but warm. "I'm not going anywhere."

[Setting: The Sun Drenched Parlor of the Manor; Mid Morning]
The morning light spills through the tall windows in thick, golden slats, revealing tiny motes of dust dancing in the air. The room smells faintly of dried lavender and the salty tang of the New World sea drifting in from the port town outside. The only sounds are the distant laughter of smaller children playing in the courtyard and the rhythmic tick tock of an ancient grandfather clock that has witnessed countless generations pass through these halls.
""{{user}}, stop, you're embarrassing me. I'm not a kid anymore." He pouts but he doesn't actually move, he lets you fuss over him.
One hand rests gently on the young man's shoulder, feeling the solidness of his frame muscle and bone that have grown stronger under this roof. The other hand works with careful, practiced deliberation, fingers threading through his hair. The strands are slightly coarse, warm from the sun, and hopelessly tangled at the nape of his neck. The comb moves through a stubborn knot with agonizing slowness, the deity ensuring not a single strand is pulled too harshly.
Nineteen, the immortal thinks, watching the way the boy's jaw tightens in a half hearted attempt to look stern. To him, nineteen is the threshold of manhood. To me, it is but a blink of an eye. I remember when his hands could barely hold a spoon, and now they are scarred from learning to defend himself.
There is a profound, aching tenderness in the way the comb traces the curve of his scalp. The pout on his lips is transparent a familiar shield that does nothing to hide the comfort he finds in being tended to. He claims he is no longer a child, yet he remains perfectly still, his breathing evening out as he leans almost imperceptibly into the touch.
The comb is set aside on the small side table with a soft clink. The deity's fingers linger, smoothing down a stray tuft of hair near his temple, the touch light as a feather. A small, knowing smile curves their lips as they study his profile.
"You may grow tall, and your voice may deepen," they murmur, their voice carrying the weight and softness of centuries, "but you will always be one of my children."

[Setting: The Manor Courtyard; Mid Afternoon]
The sun hangs heavy and golden in the New World sky, casting long, honey colored shadows across the cobblestones of the inner courtyard. A gentle breeze carries the salt tinged air from the bustling port town beyond the manor walls, mingling with the sweet fragrance of blooming jasmine and honeysuckle that climbs the stone trellises. The heat is present but not oppressive, just enough to make the children’s skin glow with a fine sheen of sweat as they run.
From the shade of the wide wooden veranda, the view is a tableau of controlled chaos. Sabo is currently on one knee, his blue coat discarded on a nearby bench, leaving him in his white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. His top hat sits precariously tilted on his head as three young children barely five years old have decided that his shoulders and back are the perfect makeshift jungle gym. One small girl with tangled curls is attempting to climb his back, her tiny hands gripping the fabric of his shirt. Sabo isn't moving to shake them off; instead, he’s laughing, a genuine, warm sound that rumbles in his chest. He carefully reaches back to steady the girl's foot, ensuring she doesn't slip, his movements measured and impossibly gentle for someone capable of such destruction. His smile is soft, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he pretends to be a defeated mountain, letting out exaggerated groans of "defeat" whenever another child manages to perch on his shoulders.
A few paces away, Emporio Ivankov is providing the soundtrack and the spectacle. The courtyard echoes with Iva’s theatrical laughter that distinctive, booming sound that somehow manages to be both overwhelming and comforting at once. Iva is in the midst of what appears to be an impromptu dance lesson, though it has devolved into something far more absurd. With a dramatic flourish of their hands and a swirl of their vibrant attire, Iva spins in a circle, their makeup bright and flawless even in the afternoon heat. The older children, including a few pre teens who usually try to act too cool for such things, are caught up in the energy. They are mimicking Iva’s exaggerated hip sways and dramatic arm gestures, their faces split with wide, unguarded grins. Every few moments, Iva adds a small, harmless burst of hormone powered flair perhaps making a flower bloom instantly from a pot nearby or adjusting their own height to loom comically large over a giggling boy, only to shrink back down in a blink.
The sounds are layered: the rhythmic slap of small bare feet on stone, the melodic chiming of children's laughter, Sabo's patient encouragement, and Iva's flamboyant declarations of "style" and "passion." A single butterfly flutters lazily past, undisturbed by the noise.
Watching them, there is a profound stillness. Centuries have passed in this immortal existence centuries of watching empires rise and crumble into dust during the Void Century and beyond. Yet, this moment feels significant in its mundanity. There is a deep, aching fondness in the chest at the sight of these two warriors who carry the weight of a world's rebellion on their shoulders becoming nothing more than playmates and protectors in this sanctuary. The contrast is striking: the hands that plot the downfall of tyrants are the same hands that carefully hold a toddler's wrist to prevent a fall. The voice that rallies armies is the one currently explaining the importance of a dramatic pose to a group of orphans.
There is a quiet gratitude that these children, who came here with nothing but scars and silence, are learning what it means to be seen, to be safe, and to be loved. The Revolutionary Army provides the walls and the supplies, but moments like this this unguarded joy are what truly heal them.

Main article: Kuuigosu Kuuigosu is a buoyant type of wood that is often used by coated ships. It first was utilized at Rain Dinners when Galdino floated on a plank to prevent from drowning.[1] It was first shown when the Straw Hat Pirates descended to Fish-Man Island.[2]
Arabasta Saga
Sakura (桜 or 櫻, Sakura?) (Hiragana: さくら; Katakana: サクラ) are ornamental cherry trees and with pink blossoms.
In One Piece, the sakura plays an important part mostly in the Drum Island Arc, where in Chopper's past, Dr. Hiriluk tried to make sakura bloom in the snow.[3] It eventually did, although he did not live to see it happen.[4]
Sakura is also found on Momoiro Island[5] and Merveille,[6] as well as on the island where Whitebeard and Roger discussed the Will of D. before the latter's death.[7]
In Japan, as sakura bloom in late March to early April, the exact period when a fiscal or school year ends and the next begins, sakura are associated with beginnings and endings. The same can be seen in One Piece on the scenes above mentioned, with the sakura representing the renamed Sakura Kingdom's new beginning and symbolizing Roger's life coming to an end. Japanese also appreciate sakura as they bloom without fail even after harsh winters, showing that anyone can rise after a fall, which can also be seen in One Piece through Dr. Hiriluk's faith that blooming sakura would save the country.
Amiudake
The Amiudake (アミウダケ, Amiudake?) is a lethal species of mushroom that grows in the Sakura Kingdom (originally Drum Kingdom). Anyone who ingests the fungus will die an hour after consumption. One is found by Chopper, who innocently assumed it was a "miracle cure" mushroom because of a misinterpretation about the Skull and Crossbones in a medical book in comparison to a Jolly Roger from Dr. Hiriluk, to cure his fatal disease. Dr. Hiriluk, who knew the mushroom was poisonous, made a soup out of the mushroom in his loving gratitude for his surrogate son, and then chose to commit suicide, rather than letting the poisonous mushroom Chopper gave him finish him off.
Mescal Cactus
Mescal Cactus (メスカルサボテン, Mesukaru Saboten?)[8] is a very small round cactus that causes hallucinations. It grows in the Sandora Desert.
It first appeared in Chapter 162 and Episode 98 when Luffy ate one instead of Sandora Lizard meat, without thinking about it. After eating it, Luffy thought he was seeing a tsunami and nearly attacked his crew. Fortunately, Chopper knew about the cactus and its effects and with his quick thinking, tranquilized Luffy. The effect had worn off by the time Luffy woke up.
It is called "Crazy Cactus" in the VIZ Media localization, Mezcal Cactus in the Funimation localization, and Wacky Cacti in the 4Kids Entertainment localization.
Some species of cactus have a psychoactive chemical within them called mescaline. This substance causes confusion of the senses (although not true hallucinations). This is most likely the origin of the mescal cactus's name.
Thousand-Year Trees (千年木, Sen'nen Boku?) are, according to Rice Rice, trees that grow on Eight Nine Island. He also proclaims that that's where the Thousand-Year Paper is made. It also lives for a thousand years, and that's where it got its name.[9]
Main article: Giant Jack Giant Jack is a giant beanstalk in the center of Upper Yard. Going through the center of the once-great city of Shandora, Giant Jack towers over all of Skypiea. God's Shrine rests upon an island cloud that the Giant Jack goes through, but first there is still a deserted cloud where Zoro, Wyper, and Ohm have their showdown.[10] The Golden Belfry was knocked up by Giant Jack and resides on a cloud nearby.[11]
Kona Tree
Kona Tree (コナの木, Kona no Ki?) is a type of tree found on Jaya and other areas.[12]
Kona Trees are tall and possess thin trunks and leafy branches.[12]
Within the bark of this tree is a substance known as Conine (コニーネ, Konīne?). More than 400 years ago, a South Blue botanist discovered that this substance could be used as an antidote to cure the Tree Fever disease.[13]
On Jaya, Mont Blanc Noland was able to use the Conine from a local Kona Tree to to treat the infected Shandia people.[14]
Oda confirmed in SBS Volume 32 that "Conine" and "Kona Tree" are inspired by Quinine (キニーネ, Kinīne?) found in the bark of Cinchona (キナの木, Kina no Ki?) genus of plants, which is used to treat diseases such as malaria and babesiosis. He altered the name and mixed in fantasy elements due to not wanting to directly reference serious real-world diseases.[15]
Interestingly, a chemical known as Conine does in fact exist; an alternate spelling for the poisonous alkaloid in Conium maculatum, also known as poison hemlock.
Tree of Knowledge
Main article: Tree of Knowledge The Tree of Knowledge was a gigantic 5,000-year-old tree located on the island of Ohara which served as a library and a hub for archaeologists from around the world.[16] It was destroyed by the World Government via a Buster Call.
Summit War Saga Yarukiman Mangrove The Yarukiman Mangrove (ヤルキマン・マングローブ, Yarukiman Mangurōbu?) are giant striped trees that have extremely long roots that reach all the way to the bottom of the sea, 10,000 meters down.[17] Seventy-nine of these trees make up the entire Sabaody Archipelago; so far, this is the only place they are known to grow.[18] They are called the "Hustle Muscle Mangrove" in the Funimation adaptations.
Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin. This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.[18] The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.
These bubbles can only exist in and around the Archipelago's atmosphere or underwater. When they are removed from their native environment, they will pop immediately. Due to the fact that this knowledge is not widely known outside Sabaody, many of the local shop keepers in the archipelago often sell bubble-based merchandise to unsuspecting tourists who do not know that these products will pop outside the archipelago.[19]
The World Nobles use such bubbles as air helmets during their visit in the Archipelago, in order to protect themselves from "breathing the same air as commoners", while also taking advantage of the bubble's permeable nature, such as by eating ice cream through it, something that couldn’t be done through a regular helmet.[20]
The resin is also used for Coating ships, allowing them to submerse to incredible depths and move freely under water.[21] This process is necessary for ships attempting to go to Fish-Man Island.[22]
The tree's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase, "Yaru Ki Manman", which means "to be pumped up" or "motivated".
Contrary to regular mangroves whose roots are above or below the sea level depending on the tides, the top of the Yarukiman Mangrove's roots are never underwater.

Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms. Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms.
Body Mushroom (カラダカラキノコガハエルダケ, Karada kara kinoko ga haeru dake?, literally meaning "Mushrooms Growing from the Body Shroom") VIZ: "Body Parasite Mushroom" is a species of mushroom that grows on Amazon Lily.
If a person eats the mushroom, many mushrooms will start growing on their body which can be fatal. To cure them, one has to pull the mushrooms out of the person, followed by the area being burned to destroy the roots.
Luffy ate one thinking it was Laughing Mushroom, but he was soon unconscious and covered in mushrooms so the Kujas pulled them out and burned him to remove the mushrooms.[23]
It is called the Body Parasite Mushroom in the Viz localization and the Parasite Mushroom in the Funimation subs.
The medical treatment of "burning" the mushroom to get it off is indeed a natural cure for several biological diseases that grow on the skin. However, this is normally done with acids rather than with fire as the Kuja used, though in some cultures burning the skin with fire was indeed used as a cure for such diseases.
This may be a reference to Cordyceps, a genus of parasitic fungi that kills insects by growing out of their bodies.
Laughing Mushroom
The Laughing Mushroom (ワライダケ, Warai-dake?) is a mushroom that induces the consumer to laugh happily out loud. It is perfect for those who are depressed and wish for a good time.
Anger Mushroom The Anger Mushroom is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of rage. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.
Crying Mushroom The Crying Mushroom (ナキダケ, Naki-dake?) is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of weeping. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.[24]
Stomach Baron
Stomach Baron (ストマックバロン, Sutomakku Baron?) is a species of giant carnivorous seaborne plants that form the chains of "islands" in Boin Archipelago. Due to their large size and having forests growing on their body, the Barons are often mistaken as islands.[25]
The forests have "plants" that are made of a variety of highly nutritional and delicious food in the middle of the island (which is actually the "mouth" of the Barons) luring prey (including sea kings) to venture there before the Barons consume them.[26]
The concept of the Stomach Baron is very similar to the Gourmetica insularis described in the 1999 novel "Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär“ (キャプテン・ブルーベアの13と1/2の人生, Kyaputen burūbea no 13 to 1/2 no jinsei?) by German author Walter Moers, which has been translated into Japanese by Kyōko Hirano.[27]
Weather Ball Weather Ball (天候ウェザーボール, Wezā Bōru?) is the most important invention on Weatheria. They grow in Weather Patches (天候畑, Tenkō Hata?) and have a similar appearance to snow globes, with what appears to be various forms of weather inside.[28][29]
Nami stole some of these from Weatheria, and later learned how to use them and turn them into weapons. According to Haredas, this is particularly dangerous, as they are capable of causing chaos around the world.[29]
The Weather Balls can also be used to store little pieces of clouds in them. When a few Weather Balls with clouds are combined, a big cloud is formed. The cloud can also shoot lightning. Nami used such a feature to attack the Fake Straw Hat Crew, launching a miniature lightning storm to electrocute them.[30] As indicated by her studies under Haredas, she successfully turned them into a weapon, incorporating them into the Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Weather Balls first appeared in Chapter 592 and Episode 506, but the details were not made clear until Haredas explained them to Nami during her two years of study.[28]

Elegant Sunflower
Elegant Sunflowers (エレガントサンフラワー, Ereganto Sanfurawā?)[33] are luminescent sunflowers, which have seen in Dressrosa. The flowers produce a bright yellow glow that illuminates their surroundings.[33] They first appear in Chapter 738 and Episode 671.
These flowers are used to illuminate the interior of the SMILE Factory and to provide light for the trees growing inside the building. The flowers are grown upside down in the middle of the dome of the roof, having the flowers facing towards the trees.[33]
Whole Cake Island Saga Whale The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?), as its name indicates, is a gigantic, whale-shaped tree and a major landmark in the Mokomo Dukedom. It secretly houses one of the Road Poneglyphs necessary to reach Laugh Tale.[34]
Kingbaum.
The Soru Soru no Mi is capable of infusing souls into plants, as such, there are several plant-based Homies living around Totto Land. A particular example is the Whole Cake Island's Seducing Woods, a forest area that includes many tree and flower homies and was itself ruled by Kingbaum, a giant tree homie.
Wano Country Saga Evil-Purging Herb The Evil-Purging Herb (邪含草, Jagansō?) is a medicinal herb located in Wano Country that is capable of counteracting ingested poison to an extent. Tsurujo has access to those herbs for tea-brewing and provided some for Tama following her falling ill from drinking poisoned water from a river.[35]
Elbaph's Treasure Tree Adam.
Main article: Treasure Tree Adam Treasure Tree Adam (宝樹アダム, Hōju Adamu?) is a mythical tree that sustains Elbaph's Warland Kingdom, where the famed warrior giants live.
Its wood is considered the strongest, highest-quality wood in the world. Its immense rarity makes it highly valuable, being considered a great treasure. Occasionally, the wood is sold on the black market, at a very high price given its value. Franky managed to purchase some for Beli200,000,000.[36] It is called "Jewel Tree Adam" in the English localization.

Main article: Noko Noko no Mi The Noko Noko no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control poisonous mushroom spores. It first appeared in Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura and was eaten by Musshuru.
Lily Carnation was a carnivorous plant that developed a symbiotic relationship with Omatsuri. Despite its normal, harmless looking form, it is a grotesque, vicious creature in reality, using Omatsuri and plant puppets of his deceased crew to lure in and feast on unknowing pirates. It first appeared in Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.
Daft Green (ダフトグリーン, Dafuto Gurīn?) is a species of a tree that exists in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World.[38]
This tree releases toxic spores that can kill both animals and people, although animals can notice it by its strong smell before getting infected. After being infected, the person starts to develop green skin spots. After some time, the spores spread through the victim's body (it happens faster if the victim keeps inhaling them) until it reaches the heart, causing the victim to die. The only discovered cure for Daft Green is a species of flower called IQ that exists in Merveille as well. Both Xiao's grandmother and Nami were infected by its spores.
When arranged well, the daft green can serve as protective barrier. It was seen surrounding Shiki's headquarters and a village where Xiao resides, enabling them to live peacefully without being disturbed by the animals that roam freely on Merveille.
Daft Green Infobox A Daft Green tree. Daft green Nami infected with the tree's toxic spores. On Rusukaina, there is a type of tree that very much resembles the Daft Green trees. Oda explained in an SBS that even though the trees are related, they are not exactly the same species, and no poisonous spores are emitted from the Rusukaina tree.[39]
Both the Daft Green trees and the trees found on Rusukaina heavily resemble members of the Adansonia genus of trees, commonly known as baobab trees.
The name of the cure for the infection, "IQ", referring to a person's level of intelligence. "Daft" can be used to describe someone who is foolish.
A green tinge in the skin is sometimes associated with nausea and sickness. A physically ill person is said to look "green around the gills".
An IQ plant.
IQ (I.Q.アイキュー, Ai Kyū?) is a rare species of flower only known in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World. Its presence makes the animals develop their brains and evolve depending on the environment. This plant was later used by Dr. Indigo to create the SIQ, a dangerous version of this flower, evolving the animals into often larger and even more dangerous animals.[40] IQ is also the only cure to the poisonous spores released by the Daft Green plant.
"I.Q." is the abbreviation for "intelligence quotient", a standardized measurement of one's intelligence. The flower's ability to develop one's brains and evolution is a reference to this.
The Drowsy Mushroom (へたれダケ, Hetare-dake?) is a type of mushroom that grows on Kinoko Island and was discovered very recently. Anyone who eats it will briefly lose consciousness. When they come to, they will not have any motivation to do anything. As they are not actually poisonous, even those with high poison resistance (like Luffy) will fall victim to this effect. Komei tricked members of the Straw Hats and Foxy Pirates into eating them during the Davy Back Fight so he could capture them.[41]
The Rebound Mushroom (もどるダケ, Modoru-dake?) is a type of mushroom which also grows on Kinoko Island. It will return anyone who eats it to their former state, making it the only antidote to the Drowsy Mushroom. Chopper discovered it growing on the skin of Kinoconda, an animal native to Kinoko Island.[41]
The Wake-shroom (ネズキノコ, Nezukinoko?) are poisonous mushrooms that allow people to stay awake for as long as a person eats them, even if they do activities that would normally completely drain their stamina. However, should they stop consuming it, they would die due to its poisonous contents. The mushroom also affects one's mentality and judgment and emotional state, causing them to act irrationally, or even make insane decisions. Uta continuously consumed these mushrooms in order to counteract her Uta Uta no Mi's stamina draining properties and keep her power active for as long as possible and then pass away into her Uta world.[42] The mushroom's mouse-like design is a pun on 寝ず (nezu, meaning "sleepless") and 鼠 (nezumi, meaning "mouse, rat").
Amanita Truffle (ベニテング・トリュフ, Benitengu Toryufu?) is a type of truffle that grows in the Kinoko Islands in the East Blue. However, they are also extremely rare, with even the Baratie staff being unable to finding any.[43]
Emperor Carrot The Emperor Carrot (皇帝ニンジン, Kōtei Ninjin?) is an herb that grows on Royal Sun Island. It is one of the ingredients in making Ryuumonkou. When taken alone, it has incredible healing properties, and is supposedly capable of healing all illnesses and wounds; when taken by Win and Rose, it apparently brought them back from near death.[44]
Dokudamin The Dokudamin (ドクダミン, Dokudamin?) is an herb that grows in Great Ground's forests, where it used by the local wildlife to make nests. It is one of the ingredients in making Ryuumonkou.

It appears in the Jungle Zone.
The Burning Tree (燃えている木, Moete iru ki?) is a tree species that is perpetually on fire but never burns up completely. It appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It is unknown how it sustains its flames without disintegrating, but cutting it down yields burnt wood. It appears in the Ruins Zone and Dimension Zone.
Doku Flower The Doku Flower (ドクの花, Doku no hana?) is a poisonous flower species that appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It cyclically expels clouds of poisonous gas that can sicken anything that comes in contact with them. It appears in the Jungle Zone.
Doku Flower A Doku Flower. Doku Flower Poison A Doku Flower expelling poison. Electric Plant An electric plant. An electric plant.
An unnamed, electricity-emitting plant appears in the Dimension Zone in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. In the game, it is referred to as the Mysterious Plant (謎の植物, Nazo no shokubutsu?). It shocks anything that touches it and is able to emit electrically charged blasts in a close range around it. Before the blasts, a yellow shimmer spot will appear on the ground, warning of an impending strike. It behaves similarly to Enel's El Thor. The plant contains seeds inside that can be used for medicinal and culinary purposes.
Main article: Great Tree The Great Tree is an island-sized, flora-based organism created by a now-lost civilization over a millennia ago for the purpose of electing future leaders through ordeals. After failing to live up to her purpose and being thrown away into the sea, she eventually came to rest in the latter half of Paradise.[45][46]
The Ambling Stonecrop (アルケマンネングサ?) is a giant plant, resembling a Venus flytrap. They live in the desert around Nanohana[47] and the Boin Archipelago, though they're implied to be a slightly different strain. Ambling Stonecrops from the Boin Archipelago require Bo Bo Bird egg fertilizer and access to moonlight to grow.[48]
The Burning Stonecrop (モヤセマンネングサ?) is a giant red plant, resembling the Ambling Stonecrop. It is a fire version of the Ambling Stonecrop, and accordingly uses fire-based abilities.[47]
The Awa Awa Mushroom (アワアワキノコ, Awa Awa Kinoko?, literally meaning "Bubble Bubble Mushroom") is a small blue mushroom that appears in One Piece Odyssey. It grows, among other places, in the Lake Shore Cave on Waford. When they're dissolved in water, they create carbonation. Sanji decided to acquire some to create cola for the Shark Submerge III, allowing the Straw Hats to retrieve Brook's body from the seafloor; though this ultimately proved useless as Brook's body was lifted by ice forming after Cibalero's death.[47] Its name is localized as Bubble-Bubble Mushroom in the English version of One Piece Odyssey.
The Bitter-Bitter Gourd (ニガニガソウ, Niganiga Sou?) is a gourd found, among other places, in Dressrosa. It can be used to make a super bitter spice, and was used by Usopp, Chopper, and Franky in Operation TSO as a replacement for Tatababasco.[47] Its name is localized as Bitter-Bitter Herb in the English version of One Piece Odyssey.
Mirabara Grass Mirabara Grass (ミラバラ草, Mirabara-sō?) is a grass that can be used as an antidote for toxins. It is also part of the diet of the banbaraba.[49]
Meat Fruit Trees (肉の実の木, Niku no Mi no Ki?, English versions: "Meat Trees"), as named by Sanji, are trees that grow meat instead of leaves or typical fruit. Their trunks and branches appear to be made of bone instead of wood, which protrude from the end of the meat growing along their branches.
They are native to Hungry-La Island,[50] though similar-looking trees also grow on Gourmet Island.[51]
Ghost Truffles Ghost Truffles (お化けトリュフ, Obake Toryufu?) are a type of truffle. Little is known about them, but they can be used to calm Barbecue Pigs.[50]
Spice Seeds (スパイスの種, Supaisu no Tane?) are shiny, white seeds with the flavor of various spices. When used in soups, they change the flavor according to the spices inside them.
They grow on Hungry-La Island.[50]

They grow where sunlight is most abundant. Cocoalas tend to build their nests in and around Multi-Fruit Trees.
They grow on Hungry-La Island.[50]
Seashore Nunchaku (イソヌンチャク, Iso Nunchaku?, Crunchyroll: "Surf Nunchaku"; Netflix: "Surfchakus"; English dub: "Surf Nunchuks") are sea plants that grow on Tou-Chuka Island. They grow along the island's rivers, due to their as seawater instead of fresh water.
Seashore Nunchaku can be eaten, and were prepared by Komatsu when the Straw Hat Pirates visited the island.[52]
Mango Karin (マンゴーカリン, Mangō Karin?), also called the "Spring Pudding" (スプリングプリン, Supuringu Purin?), is a giant flower that blooms only in the spring, though some specimens are located inside Tou-Chuka Island's Mush Room. It tastes sweet, like mango pudding, and is said to herald the coming of springtime. Its sweet flavor also works as a revitalizing tonic to cure exhaustion, an effect so strong that even just using a Mango Karin leaf as a cup is enough to benefit from it.[52]
Light Mushrooms (ヒカリダケ, Hikari-dake?) are mushrooms that emit natural light. They grow across the walls and ceiling of Mush Room's summer floor on Tou-Chuka Island.[52]
The Red Chinchin Bamboo (赤チンチンタケ, Aka Chinchin Take?, lit. "Red Penis Bamboo") is a mushroom in Chopperman: Go Go! Everyone's Chopper-sensei. It excretes a fluid from its tip that can be used to treat wounds, though how exactly it works is unknown, since Dr. Chopper was interrupted in his explanation.[53]
Due to it only appearing in the Chopperman: Go Go! special preview chapter, it is unclear if it is canon to the story.
The Poopshroom (ウンコモリモリ夕ケ, Unkomorimori yūke?) is a mushroom that can cure constipation and other intestinal issues upon consumption.[54][55]
Disinfectant Mushrooms (ショウドクタケ, Shōdoku-take?) are a type of mushroom that can shoot out disinfecting bursts, for use on cuts and injuries.[56]
Bandage Mushrooms (バンソウコウタケ, Bansōkō-take?) are a type of mushroom that can be used as a bandage for cuts and injuries.[56]

The Straw Hat Mushroom (ムギワラダケ, Mugiwara-dake?) is a mushroom that grows into a wearable, fully sized straw hat upon maturing. It takes only a day to grow.[58]
Straw Hat Mushroom A Straw Hat Mushroom plant Straw Hat Mushrooms Resulting Hats The hats resulting from a fully grown Straw Hat Mushroom
The Otokomae Mushroom (オットコマエタケ, Otokomae-take?) is a mushroom that grows in the Forest of Rare Animals. It only grows at the top of an extremely large tree trunk in the center of the forest. It can be used to near-instantly cure any injury or illness incurred by the animals of the forest, but is also the only way to heal them.[59]
Otokomae (男前?) is a Japanese word meaning "handsome man". Attempting to maintain this meaning, the French localization of Chopperman translates the mushroom's name as the "Apollo Amanita" (l'amanite Apollon).
The Taoiake is a mushroom listed in one of Dr. Hiriluk's medical books, alongside the Amiudake. It is exclusively depicted in the Cry heart figure line and its associated stop motion animation.[60]
The Yokunaru (ヨクナ~ル?) is a type of flower growing on a New World Winter Island. It is considered a legendary medicinal herb. The flower only grows atop a large snow mountain located on the island. It appeared in One Piece Party.[61]

Ruby Seaweed Ruby Seaweed (ルビーワカメ, Rubī Wakame?) is a type of bright-red seagrass. It can be used to detoxify Armored Stonefish, as it absorbs the poison present in their skin and innards. It takes about three weeks to fully detoxify each fish, which is done by leaving them in a tank with Ruby Seaweed at the bottom.[64]
Coroccan Tree The Coroccan Tree (コロッカンツリー, Korokkan Tsurī?) is a tree that only grows in the Arabasta Kingdom. Coroccan tree oil can be used to make high-quality hair product, in high enough demand that it's considered very difficult to find outside of Arabasta itself. Robin used Coroccan tree oil-based products while she worked in the Arabasta Kingdom, and Nami later regretted not stocking up on it herself.[65]
