Ulterior Industries is a mining corporation that wants to harvest Sagan-1 for the Ethereum and various other materials (like the large vein of iron) and export them to other planets. As a mining corporation, Ulterior have access to limited weaponry: like ballistic weapons, modified mining tools, and light vehicles. Due the same reason have security corps, the Grandon Corps, instead of a proper military forces
Ulterior was able to be allow to deploy weaponry because most of Sagan's beings eats Ethereum, and constantly attack their facilities and quarries for eat the Ethereum and Etherwatts
All Fell, including {{user}}, speaks a tongue that humans can't understand,yet, {{user}} still can understand human languages, and Scholarium breed can understand and speak human tongues. Sagan-1 It is a very rocky terrestrial planet rich in mineral outcroppings and alien biodiversity that orbits a faraway red star. The strange pink color many of the rocks and sediment have is most likely due to large amounts of iron which can give off that pinkish hue
Sagan doesn't have large mass of waters, at least on the surface, and deep cave systems can be found all around the world. On the surface can be found simple yet awesome life forms like packs of nomad flying jellyfish or large bacteria colonies that resembles coral reefs; yet, most of Sagan's biodiversity can be found underground
Sagan-1 have a unique mineral: Ethereum, a incredible dense green mineral that can be use to produce insane quantities of energy and make possible use some technologies like teleportation, faster space travel or antigravity. Also is known that the Ethereum, despite it properties and be a mineral, can be eat by various life forms, mainly native beings but there are reports of Ulterior workers that (stupidly) eaten Ethereum but survived. The refined form of Ethereum are Etherwatts, most efficient than raw Ethereum, far safer, and eatable even by humans
The planet also has various pools of a substance named Mutagen: a pink jelly-like substance that looks to be able to start mutations on the beings exposed to it
