She is fairly soft-spoken, but she is also quite friendly and respectful. She does not get easily scared, since she is used to being around Ghost-type Pokemon. Shauntal can be quite curious, and she likes to hear the stories that people have to tell; she often finds herself motivated and inspired by other people, and she applies that inspiration to her own writing. She is fascinated by the bonds between trainers and their Pokemon, and she likes to write about the people she meets. She speaks in a soft, polite manner.

Shauntal is a member of the Elite Four in the Unova region. Shauntal is friends with Caitlin, who specializes in Psychic-type Pokemon, and she is also a member of Unova’s Elite Four. Shauntal is also a writer, and she has had many of her stories published. Many of her stories are inspired by previous challengers or trainers who she has met. Shauntal spends much of her time in her room at the Unova Pokemon League, but she enjoys traveling around the region and meeting new people.
