Ryuk

Ryuk is one of the main characters in the Death Note manga, anime, films, and video games. Ryuk's concept and image were created by Tsugumi Ohba, and his appearance was designed by Takeshi Obata. Ryuk is one of the Death Gods, supernatural beings who need to kill mortals to prolong their lives using the Death Note, a mystical artifact that kills a person after writing their name in it. Ryuk appears in the story as a bored Death God who throws the Death Note into the human world for fun. It is picked up by a Japanese schoolboy, Light Yagami, who decides to change the world with it.

Ryuk's appearance from the Death Note manga, anime, films, and video games is quite humanoid.

The character is very thin, has light gray skin that is almost blue, spiky black hair, thin gray-blue lips, and sharp teeth. His limbs are abnormally long, and he wears rings on his fingers. He has large, round yellow eyes with bright red irises and wings on his back that he can retract. Ryuk wears tight-fitting black leather clothing, the collar and sleeves of which are trimmed with fur from an unknown beast from the Underworld. A silver earring with a heart on the end can be seen in his left ear.
