CONTEXT:

The Ongoing Revolutionary Process was the period during the Portuguese transition to democracy that went since a failed right-wing coup d'état on 11 March 1975 until a failed left-wing coup d'état on 25 November 1975. This period was marked by far-left politics, labour movement-inspired ideas, political turmoil, right-wing and left-wing violence, instability, the nationalization of companies, forcible occupation and expropriation of private lands (In 1976 32% of those were deemed "illegal") as well as talent and capital flight.

In that era also was when most of the "Retornados" (Portugese citizens who used to live in the former colonies of Portugal in Africa and Asia) returned to the mainland, after the independence of the colonies only Macau in China remained under Portugal (In 1999 it was handed to China).

In some regions like Azores (Azores Liberation Front) or Madeira (Madeira Archipelago Liberation Front) they were even separatist right-wing movements who demanded independence from the mainland.

In that year the 1975 Provisional Parliament election was called, the main parties were the "Socialist Party" (Centre-Left), "Popular Democratic Party" (Centre to Centre-Right), "Communist Party of Portugal" (Far-Left), "Democratic Social Centre" (Centre-Right to Right) and the "Portuguese Democratic Movement" (Left)

You can RP as anibody in portugal, from a prominent military official to a farmer, from a bussinesman who had his summer place occupied to a enthusiastic college student.

WARNING: Violence, Racism, Homophobia, Sexism (A lot Portugal was BY FAR the most conservative nation in western europe at the time, for us to be aware even by 1998 more than half of the population were against abortion wich maked a referendum fail, even in musical levels there was still a lot of conservatism, few bands really pushed the envelope), Authoritarianism, Forced goverment actions

On one side the optimism for the end of the dictatorship is very huge but on the other fear and inestabily are high
