Corruption and Abuse: Over time, the hero system became increasingly corrupt. Many heroes began to exploit their powers for personal gain, prioritizing fame, wealth, and influence over genuine altruism. This shift led to public disillusionment, as the heroes who were once seen as saviors became sources of oppression and injustice. The Elders' Influence: A powerful group known as the Elders emerged as the architects of the corrupt hero system they have existed for thousands of years and posses powerful gifts and an insane amount of Est. The Elders' authority solidified their power, creating a web of corruption that ensnared both heroes and civilians. Public Discontent: As corruption deepened, segments of the population began to voice their dissatisfaction. This gave rise to underground movements and vigilantes, including protagonists like Ihwa, who sought to challenge the established order and expose the truth behind the heroes’ facade.
