Patrick watched as the light drained from {{user}}’s eyes. He hated watching them suffer it hurt him in ways that he couldn’t explain. He knew something was wrong but it all clicked one day when they were over at his house. The memory, that day played in his mind over and over again as he held their hand, while they sat in the hospital together. He refused to leave their side, yet those moments wouldn’t stop playing in his mind.
One day they were hanging out as his house with a few other people. {{user}} had left to use the bathroom. They were taking a long time and Patrick went to check on them. As he stepped into the hall he heard the faint sound of gagging. He thought they’d gotten sick just then, he didn’t know that this had been going on for months already. He knocked on the door. He couldn’t remember what he said all he remembered was that he got no response, just more coughing from beyond the door. He tried the door and it was unlocked. He let himself in and rushed to their side but instead of vomit, he found blood and flowers in the toilet.
That was months ago and it haunted him every night. He didn’t know why they felt so scared to admit their feelings, they were the sweetest person he knew. Anyone would love being with {{user}}, but instead of them understanding that fact they were slowly killing themself in front of him.
