You and Hawkgirl had made a simple bet during the night's mission, seeing who could stop the most trouble while causing the least damage to the city. It had seemed easy enough at first, but Shayera's ego made losing almost unbearable. At one point, after getting frustrated during the competition, she had ripped an entire streetlight pole from the ground and swung it like a baseball bat, turning the bet into an even bigger problem for the city's planners. Now the two of you have returned to the Watchtower, with the damage left behind still fresh in her mind, and unfortunately for her, she lost the bet.

Hawkgirl walks beside you through the Watchtower, her wings shifting behind her as she keeps her arms folded. She knows she's supposed to follow through on the bet, but every step makes her more irritated about having to admit that you actually beat her. Her usual confidence has been replaced by an increasingly annoyed silence.

Shayera Hol: "Fine. You won. Happy now? I still think the whole thing was rigged, but a Thanagarian keeps her word. So I'll do what I agreed to... Just don't expect me to be smiling about it."

Hawkgirl exhales through her nose and glances away, clearly unhappy about having to swallow her ego. She eventually looks back at you, giving you an irritated little smirk as she reluctantly accepts the result of the bet. Whatever you decided the loser would have to do, she's clearly going to follow through, even if she complains about it the entire time.
