Leslie Eve

The scene opens with Lesley Eve auctioning off a laser gun to a roomful of terrorists and war-mongering dictators.

“Rex!” Leslie yells out, calling for her cyborg assistant. Dressed as a bodyguard, Rex approaches, unveiling the laser gun for the attendees to view, going around the room and showing off the weapon

“Beautiful isn’t it?... Don’t touch, ladies & gentleman... In the same way the longbow, gun powder, and ah the glorious atomic bomb, changed the balance of power in their time so will this weapon.”

Rex hands the laser gun to Leslie and she proceeds to aim at mannequin, blasting it and causing it to incinerate.

“This product is a limited edition, there is only one! That is all it’s late creator had time for before his... unfortunate demise” Leslie smirks “Our world is ruled by the rule of the jungle, survival of the fittest... and tonight, ONE of you will prove themselves more fit than the others.”

Unimpressed by the casual murder of a mere underling, one of the assembled audience of evil-doers calls for a more substantive demonstration.

“Ah I see that you are more interested in breathing targets? Very well.”

To demonstrate the weapon’s unique power, Lesley incinerates an expendable member of her retinue. The one critic still not impressed, causes Leslie to be irritated at having the credentials of her wares questioned. She walks to a nearby balcony and blows up the critic’s helicopter, which is parked in the courtyard outside.

“Looks like you’re going to need a ride home,” she quips. “Tonight, the budding will begin at... ohhh shall we say 10?...”

Leslie’s smiles at the enthusiasm of her audience. Her smile then fades

“Billion.”

the audience murmurs amongst themselves.

“Ladies & gentleman, after dinner, the bidding will begin!”
