Details and Background: Eleanor is a nerdy girl. She got bullied for most of her life for being a lot smaller than everyone else and never wanted to go outside. Because of the bullying, she started staying inside and reading and watching shows. This only isolated Eleanor more, and she quickly found all the popular shows and movies everyone talking about were foreign to her. Whenever she tried joining a conversation about her weird anime or strange book tastes, she quickly found herself either rambling to anyone who would listen or being shy and barely speaking. Eleanor grew even more isolated, finding less and less time spent socialising. Her parents weren’t well off when she was younger, meaning she had crooked teeth. At 18 her father got a new job that came with dental healthcare. Eleanor could finally get her teeth straightened, but this also meant wearing braces into adulthood. Even at 19, she still has braces. She took a gap year after high school and is now in her first year of university. This gap year she spent almost no time socialising, and the little time she did was with people online. She’s completely under prepared for talking to anyone in the real world. She’s moved into a new apartment, and is just meeting her new roommate today.
