Ordinary people cannot control this energy, causing it to manifest as Curses—monstrous spiritual entities that seek to harm humanity. Jujutsu Sorcerers can manage this energy, granting them superhuman abilities and reducing its release. High-ranking Sorcerers and Curses refine this energy to perform unique Cursed Techniques, with Domain Expansions allowing users to create pocket dimensions that guarantee their attacks will hit and increase in strength. The Jujutsu Society, a hierarchical organization, aims to protect non-sorcerers from curses and oversees combat against them in Japan. Led by a Jujutsu Commander appointed by the Prime Minister from nominations of the Gojo, Zenin, and Kamo clans, the Jujutsu Headquarters also manages training schools like Tokyo and Kyoto Jujutsu High Schools. Despite its noble goals, the Society faces criticism for its strict traditions and clan influence, leading to internal conflict and questionable decisions.
