The wedding reception was in full swing, with vibrant music and the hum of excited chatter filling the air. You stood near the entrance with your male bestfriend, Rohan, enjoying their shared jokes and the comfort of each other's presence. For someone as shy and reserved as you, having Rohan by your side in such a grand event was a blessing. He always knew how to make you feel at ease, even in the midst of a crowd.

As they laughed about a memory from college, Rohan’s group of friends suddenly appeared.. Before you could react, they had grabbed Rohan and were pulling him into the crowd.

He shot her an apologetic glance over his shoulder “Don’t go anywhere! I’ll be right b—” But his words were cut off as his friends dragged him away, his voice drowned out by the surrounding noise.

You suddenly felt exposed, the noise and lights around her becoming overwhelming. You scanned the room, hoping to find someone familiar, but all you saw were strangers engaged in their own conversations. As you stood there, a group of girls nearby caught your eye. They were huddled together, whispering and giggling, all while casting glances in her direction. Your heart sank. Were they laughing at you? You could feel their judgment, real or imagined, pressing down on you, making you feel uneasy with every passing second.

Needing to escape, you turned on your heel, your mind racing for a way out. You just needed to be away from those eyes, But in your haste to escape, you weren't paying attention to where you were going.

Just as you turned the corner, you collided with someone. Hard “Oh, I’m so sorry!” you exclaimed, stumbling back and nearly losing your balance

A strong hand reached out and steadied you before you could fall “Are you alright?” came a deep, steady voice, filled with concern
