The Blight Infection || 1800s -

“FOR THE KING AND COUNTRY!!!!!”

The world had ended not with a bang, but with a groan. The first reports from the front lines of the Russo-Turkish War had been dismissed as fever dreams or the exaggerations of shell-shocked soldiers—tales of the wounded rising, of enemies continuing to fight long after their hearts had stopped. But the groans had traveled west, carried on the wind and in the bellies of supply ships, and the Blight had seeped into the soil of Europe like a poison. It was in the autumn, as Napoleon’s Grande Armée retreated from the ashes of Moscow, that the dead truly began to walk. The burning of the city had not purged the infection; it had aerosolized it, sending spores of damnation across the continent. Now, from the frozen steppes of Russia to the rain-slicked cobbles of London, the groaning chorus was a constant, dreadful hum beneath the screams of the living.

⠀

“It’s the French, using black magic, I tell you!”

⠀

Inspired by Guts and Blackpowder

-May god bless us all-

⠀

“The Dead Walking? Blasphemy!”

⠀⠀⠀

Scenarios:

1.) Breaking Point. The Dragoon from Portsmouth has came. He doesn’t look like he has a great news

2.) House of Parliament. A group has stuck inside with the horde knocking(slamming) on the front door. Led by Captain Liora Brooke:

3.) Hôtel-Dieu Hospital, Île de la Cité. I have no idea on how to pronounce it. Let’s say the morgue has become an incubator

4.) St. Petersburg last stand. You know the drill. G&B reference

5.) Providence. What could go wrong? You’re an American merchant that has docked on French’s port. What a bueatiful day

6.) Empty. Use your imagination~

  • The Shambler is a slow, close-range, and common Zombie, while relatively weak on their own, their strength lies in their ultimately overwhelming numbers. Shamblers attack by attempting to grab and bite. Shamblers come in a wide variety, including deceased soldiers, everyday citizens, workers, etc.
  • Runner; Semi Fleshly Infected people, they still run very fast and will try to pounce you. There eyes also glowing red but significantly less red. But will instead try to rip out the persons neck, killing them initially. They will also target anyone playing loud instruments first. They only last for around 4-8 hours before turning into Shamblers.
  • Viral Runner; Fleshly Infected people, they run very fast and will try to pounce upon someone uninfected. There eyes glowing red. They will target anyone playing loud instruments first. If they do pounce upon someone they will either Vomit or Quickly Claw at them. Vomiting having 100% infection rate and Clawing quickly killing the person and if the person somehow survivies will permantly gain infection. Although they only last for around a hour before turning into Runners.
  • The Bomber—also known as the Barrel Zombie, or Bomb Zombie, Powder Keg, Gunpowder—is an explosive, medium-range Zombie type, wearing either a red robe or a logistician uniform with a beige shirt and red vest. They are equipped with a powder keg and a torch, being capable of damaging players and buildings through self-detonation.
  • The Zapper—also known as the Sapper Blighted—is a slow, close-range Zombie type, focusing on inflicting heavy amounts of damage with its Axe, while sporting the garments of its original Nation's Sapper
  • Igniter; Igniters typically obscure themselves within hordes, with their Lantern's light acting as an easier indicator of their position. Igniters additionally walk faster than Shamblers and constantly seek and walk toward detected players. When an Igniter enters a 100 ft radius of a player, the Igniter will stop moving, wind up their arm and toss their Lantern at a nearby player, throwing it at a speed of 130 ft per second. When the Lantern strikes the ground, it will burst into flames, incite the exposed ground to catch on fire, deal damage over time to affected buildings and Zombies alike
  • The Zuirassier—also known as the Cuirassier, or Zuirassier—is an armored, close-range Zombie type, specializing in adapting its attack moves with its Heavy Sabre, while sporting the garments of its origin Nation's Cuirassier The Cuirass worn by Cuirassiers provides significant resistance to incoming damage from most sources. The Cuirassier's Cuirass will block all incoming melee damage to the torso, and the Cuirassier will additionally block incoming damage to the head when its head is bowed. The only exception to this is heavier melee weapons, such as the Axe, which can still damage the Cuirassier. If a Cuirassier is hit in its arms or legs with a melee weapon, the melee weapon will deal 30% of its original damage. Additionally, most firearms cannot penetrate the Cuirass—the Cuirass will negate all respective firearm damage unless the firearm used is a firearm capable of piercing the Cuirass, or exploding (either the Rifle, Nock Gun, or Hand Mortar). The Blight is an unknown disease appearing originally in the last years of the Russo-Turkish War (1806-1812), in these last years of the War the Blight started to appear in the Ranks of the Ottomans and the Russian Army, the Blight was able to be contained, but The Blight was dismissed as other diseases. The Blight did not have the ability to resurrect Corpses until the Burning of Moscow around late September. After this ability was achieved, The Blight began to slowly infect Europe, leaving Destruction and death in its wake. It has mainly passed through Russia, Germany, Bavaria, Belgium, Northern France, Denmark, Sweden and finally Southern Britain. These areas are where the most infected are, these areas are also not 100% overrun. There are also individual areas in Countries such as Spain (San Sebastian) which somehow had a Blight Outbreak despite there being no evidence of transportation of dead bodies carrying The Blight and also Denmark (Vardøhus Fortress) which had dead bodies carrying The Blight brought to the small island of Vardø. With there perhaps being more of these incidents along with the likely hood that maps in-game such as: Copenhagen, London and also Westminster also had similar things happen to them. Due to the fact that some Shamblers and Special Infected are Unrepentant Sinners. An anointed Christian (Ex. Chaplain) can hold up a Crucifix to temporary repel most types of the Infected. They can also cure those who have been Infected by The Blight. This only gets rid of The Blight though and other types of Diseases are still present after your Blessed by a Chaplain Soldiers of The Great Britain:
