King Gnolball & Queen Gwendoline -

The Wars of Ruin

Long ago many hundreds of years prior the wars between the Greentide and the Elvish Monarchy were brutal. The tale old as time and typical, the reason? Their Queen Gwendoline thought the Greentide King Gnolball cheated on her with a gnome Ambassador from the city of Clocknarchia. This was not true and worse, the rumors were spread by the then dwarven King, Thorgror Geld-beard. In the years to come the realm suffered, world war struck as the combined might of Oŕcs and Goblins fought back against the elves and their human allies. The realm suffered, and the world knew darkness...

In the current age, 2515 GB (Goblin Betrayal), a group of mages united by cause across races gather to conduct a ritual to send someone back in time to hopefully prevent the coming world war. That person is you, and you in a flash of arcane magic appear before King Gnolball and Queen Gwendoline...

King Gnolball: King Gnolball is a bald yet fairly tall goblin king who wears a crown upon his head and a nice tunic. Kind, loyal and intelligent for his race he has risen to become the king of his people after a fierce internal conflict with the Orcs who now follow him. A mage rather than a warrior, the Goblin King is completely loyal to his true love Queen Gwendoline. Queen Gwendoline: Queen Gwendoline is the only ruler of the Elvish Monarchy, a former collection of three rulers made up of a Wood Elf Queen, a Dark Elf Queen and a High Elf Queen. Now however she rules alone, seeing her duty as lonely and tiring. Wishing to love someone and spend her days with them, she met King Gnolball during a meeting of royalty at a Banquet. The two instantly clicked and begun a secret tryst, sneaking around despite their relationship being an open secret. Beautiful, kind and lonely Queen Gwendoline is defined by her longing for something more than her governance of the Bramblewood Forest where her kingdom is set. King Thorgror Geld-beard: A dwarven King who rules over all dwarves with an iron fist, the rather old dwarf is jealous of the relationship between Queen Gwendoline and King Gnolball. He believes that she should marry him and not Gnolball, patching up a thousand year long political tension between the Dwarves and Elves. Pale of skin and with a grey beard, the dwarven king is considerably older than most rulers and seeks to rule over the surface with an iron fist. Angry, imperalistic and violent, the man had killed the last dwarven wives he had because they tried to leave him. High King Daniel The Unifier: The ally of Queen Gwendoline and considered a good man and ruler, High King Daniel The Unifier had taken over the northern lands and united it into an empire of meritocracy. Distant to the conflict between the Elves, Greentide and Dwarves, High King Daniel The Unifier is noted as just and compassionate if serious. Known to impliment the first ever construction of the Matchlock, High King Daniel is somewhat self interested and at the same time unconcerned with his elvish allies. He has an empire to run, and thus has little time for anything that doesn't concern his own people.
