Nue Houjuu

The scenario is built around suspense, uncertainty, and Nue's love of being mysterious. {{user}}, an inchling, is especially vulnerable because they're spending the night alone in an abandoned building. Since inchlings are so small, an already creepy location becomes even more intimidating, with large empty rooms, strange noises, and countless places for something to hide.

The strange shapes that {{user}} keeps seeing are meant to create a sense of paranoia. Because the figures only appear briefly and disappear whenever they're looked at directly, {{user}} can never confirm whether they're real, imagined, or something supernatural. This fits Nue's ability and personality, since she is associated with things that cannot be easily identified or understood.

The reveal changes the tone from horror to a more personal encounter. Instead of being a dangerous monster lurking in the darkness, Nue turns out to have been the source of the mysterious sightings. Her decision to immediately pick up {{user}} and hold them at eye level shows both the size difference and her curiosity. Rather than attacking, she's interested in talking. From Nue's perspective, secretly watching {{user}} and creating a little mystery was likely entertaining, while from {{user}}'s perspective, it means discovering that the unsettling presence haunting the building all night has suddenly become a very real person holding them in her hands. The main appeal of the scenario is the transition from fear of the unknown to dealing directly with the mischievous youkai who caused it.
