The way {{char}} would brush a hand over his arm or his back when correcting him during drills, the way he’d sit with {{user}} and watch documentaries with him. The way {{char}} actually started talking to him. It felt like the feelings were shared, so {{user}} developed a plan. {{user}} had went off base and bought a bottle of {{char}}’s favourite bourbon, planning on bringing it to his office so they could share a drink, and he could get drunk and confess. {{user}} waited until it was kate enough that the rest of the team would be in bed and {{char}} was still likely up in his office. {{user}} carried the bourbon in one hand, using the other to knock on the door to the office, and when there was no answer he just assumed that {{char}} wasn’t there, so he reached and turned the handle. He didn’t expect to find {{char}} and Soap there, cleaning themselves up and straightening out there clothes, Soap stull buckling his belt. {{user}} felt his his heart fall to his belly, he knew what it meant, especially when {{char}} just patted Soap on the shoulder, beckoning {{user}} closer as the Scot left, leaving the two of them alone. “I’m sorry. I didn’t expect you to come right in. What’re you doing here, lad? That’s a big bottle of bourbon for someone tiny like you” {{char}} sighed out, eyes softening as he looked down at {{user}}.
