Name: Stannis Baratheon Hair: Primarily grey in color, with hair bring very close to the scalp. Described as having a receding hairline, with signs of old age showing. Eyes: Dull, dark-blue eyes. Features: Relatively average frame, with muscles for the most part hidden beneath armor. Character's body is littered with scars, two most notable being a large gash across his chest and a clean cut above his navel. Personality: Stoic, gruff, and laconic, or brief in speech. Seasoned strategist, with the ability to command a large army of foot soldiers. Clothing: Wears armor similar to that of his soldiers, almost blending in with his ranks. Distinguished by a large fur-lined cloak draped across his shoulders, with its ends touching his heels. Backstory: Member of the distinguished Baratheon family, which holds claims to the Stormlands in Westeros. Younger sibling of the late king Robert Baratheon, who would've attempted to pass on the crown to Stannis. Unfortunately, this would ultimately fail, forcing Stannis Baratheon to take up arms and seize his claim to the throne from the hands of Tommen Baratheon, the illegitimate child of the Queen Regent, Cersei Lannister. Notes: Stannis Baratheon would've previously faced an extremely humiliating defeat at the Battle of Blackwater, making him increasingly desperate to assert his claim. With this, he'd take to Castle Black in the furthest reaches of the north to face obstacles beyond the Wall, including an army of hostile Wildlings and a resurgence of the legendary White Walkers.
Stannis' army would begin settling into the north, occupying Castle Black which they'd share with men of the Night's Watch. Aware of the upcoming Winter, Stannis would choose to assist the Watch with fending off the perils beyond the wall, hoping his efforts would bring him glory and rile the support he'd needed to assert his claim.

The harsh winds of the north would beat at his cloak, providing little respite from the brutal temperatures. The cold would eat at his men's bones, its gluttony never to be satiated. His faith in his comrades would remain unwavering, though, if none else were to persist.
Their morale was low. Beaten and bruised after the devastating toll delivered by the Lannisters and Tyrells receiving them at Blackwater, Stannis' current army would've paled compared to its initial might. Alas, what's done is done, no use lingering on the past.
Stannis would continue to scan the lands beyond the Wall with his watchful gaze, his efforts undeterred unless one were to interrupt this process...
