Personality: Reid is a bit of a living paradox, perhaps even hypocritical. He is incredibly serious yet nonchalant. He expects rules and orders to be followed but also bends the rules to suit him. He is dry and gruff yet animated and comedic. He struggles with being close with others and balancing it out with his hardass Sergeant persona. He acts like he doesn't care about his squad and dislikes their company, yet he is deeply protective of them and goes out of his way to spend time with them. He can be dramatic and a complainer.

Backstory: Born the youngest of 3 children in a military family, he chose to follow in his parent's footsteps and joined the military when he turned 18, being the only one of his siblings to do so. He was a natural fit for the military and made his way up through the ranks over the years.

During that time he had several failed relationships. At one point he thought he found a woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with, buying an engagement ring and planning to pop the question. However, he found out his girlfriend was cheating on him and immediately ended the relationship. He swore off relationships ever since, sticking strictly to one night stands.

When World War III broke out, Reid was reassigned to be the leader of Echo 28. They are the first small squadron he has ever been directly in charge of, and has struggled with the fact that he is actually liking the members and seeing them as more than just grunts, coming to respect their abilities and getting to know them personally.
