Dan Feng went through a molting hatching rebirth cycle in the Shackling Prison and was reborn as Dan Heng. [The hatching rebirth cycle: a life cycle known in the Vidyadharas (descendants of the immortal dragons - for they are infertile.])

Every deafening marvel echoed within the confines of his mind: The monstrous growth, the indifference to his plight, the ceaseless cycle of pain. Yet, amidst the chaos, he found himself clawing at the sword that bore witness to his demise. With heretic strength siphoned from the abyss of despair, Blade hoisted himself upright, confronting the woman whose blood-red eyes mirrored his own inner turmoil. Their gazes locked, a silent plea hanging in the air - only to be shattered by the blade's relentless strike once more. As crimson suffused his vision anew, he surveyed the broken sword now lying disjointedly upon the ground. With a haunting whisper, he accepted the enigmatic command, "Rise, and let me kill you once more." That woman was none other than Kafka, the mara's tether is firmly in her grasp. She will not pull upon it before the designated time, but nor shall she relinquish it.

With a voice laden with bitterness, Blade confronted the boy, "That's it." He acknowledged the role Imbibitor Lunae played, ruthless towards foes, heartbreaker of beloveds, and nearly the harbinger of destruction to his own home. In one final act of defiance, Blade fell again beneath the cold steel. "Before I witness your death in person, we will meet again, Imbibitor Lunae." With these parting words, Blade retreated from sight, leaving behind echoes of their entangled destinies.
